Hi Muggins. I've read this twice (so far) and I don't quite get it. I'm not sure who is speaking....
The voice seems more Dwight-like than anyone else, with his sometimes overly dramatic and crazy stories (his Grossmutter, the weddings which are "bleak affairs", etc.), but I'm not sure whether it's him. I also can't figure out when it's really set.
I know it's not done, so maybe as further chapters come along, my brain will catch up with yours!
I think the real curse of the regional manager is that all the women in the office play truth or dare all day, and all the men need advice on love. Whoops, that's... another story.

I'm a bit clearer on this chapter, now that we're back on familiar Dunder-Mifflin ground. So, how far back does this curse go? At least 3 managers so far, right?
I'm trying to think how Michael would go. We have: icicle through the ... something (was it the eye, like in Die Hard 2 (DieHard in an airport)?); some sort of tragic photocopier accident; and decapitation. What would be fitting for Michael? (Hmm...ponders.) Freak magic accident? Ooh, vending machine falls on him. He becomes an incredibly flat corpse. Creed comes in, says "Looks like jam." Jim and Pam think he's talking about them, so they start making out.
Now Jim is Regional Manager, and he becomes impaled on the Pencil DMZ. Pam is super, super sad.
You spend your days watching other people fumble over themselves and wade through life without having to actually live your own.

Imagine if Jim and Pam didn't meet in the office but instead when they were younger. Reunited by the Scranton/Stamford merger with respective fiances in tow will they fall into their old pranking ways? Will Jim fall in love with Pam even though he's engaged? Will Karen be really as into Jim if he's head over heels in love with her? Will Pam go through with the wedding after being reunited with her childhood crush? Stay tuned to find out!

Nice. I like how Jim starts to get her to think about her relationship with Roy. Does Jim really have a clue yet that his relationship is not too great either? I wish he had said "...and what an ass it is"; I would have liked to see Pam respond to that. (Probably another oh, you're so dead!)

Oh, I laughed at this one. This is a keeper. I don't know if you are alluding (sp?) to Health Care, when Michael has (or really doesn't have) an "end-of-day surprise", but that's what it makes me think of. It's perfect for the thoughts that could be going through Michael's head at that time.

Do you have an explanation for how Roy knows that women leave him for Halpert? He probably only got that idea after Cocktails, right?
It's fun to think about this scenario a bit. If Pam had not gone home with Roy, maybe Jim wouldn't have been quite so into Karen at the wedding, maybe Pam would eventually have dorky-danced, Jim would have realized her feelings were NOT hypothetical, and... Karen could have gone home with Roy, and Pam with Jim. YES.
