Guh, this is such a great fic...and so completely different from anything else I've read. I like that Jim just took the phone and is finding things out. He gis going to be so sick when he finds out; I feel bad for him already.
That was a great chapter. I think you did a good job of contrasting what Karen saw and what Jim was feeling. It's fair to say that Jim would be completely sick about what he'd found out and you wrote that well. Hope you can update soon :)
I never thought about the parallel between Jim finding out that Pam was engaged and Pam being told by Jim that he was dating someone. Good call!

This is going to be excellent Emma fic...can't wait for more! An Emma-character is a great one to throw into Scranton; other Austen people aren't modern enough...other than Lizzy of course.
You might want to insert a break after Pam and Emma are talking and then it switches to Jim and Emma talking; that was a little confusing :) This is a fun idea for a story...it might be fun to be Emma in Scranton, getting people together and such. Good times.

Jim spoke first. “Jesus, Pam…” She stood with her back to him and addressed Michael as if Jim had not made a sound…as if Jim did not exist. It was the only way.
No, I think that this was just right. Jim would be with it enough to know that he needed to keep it normal and calm for a little bit (esp. after the last ch. in his case!) and let Pam chill for a few days before getting in to things with her. Good call.
I'm just blown away by how well-written this is. I am loving this story and how you chose to make Pam's dad a hardass. That would surely explain a lot about her life with Roy.
Author's Response: lol I found myself watching the show and thinking "Why does she keep going back to ROY?!" This was just one thought. He might remind her or her dad, and she might have needed her dad's approval and never really gotten it. Thanks for the review, sorry to ramble in reply ;-)

No matter how much this couple is perfect for each other, they are bound to have flaws. Jim and Pam head to marriage counseling, and learn to deal with their issues in a semi adult manner.

This is such a well written story and it did make me see how Jim could fall for Karen. Unfortunately, I can also see Karen getting preggers and leaving and Jim never knowing but the audience does. NO!!!!
