I recently graduated from college and now work as an editor for a local publishing house.
I know my writing isn't anywhere close to brilliant, but I've decided to put it out there anyway, hoping that it will brighten someone's day, even if it's just my own.

Nice job, Em! This was really cute. I loved the fact that you have people from your RL in your story. I do that too sometimes, but not quite in the same way. Just little details or names that make me smile because they're like inside jokes with myself. ;)

Ah, Kandy! What a perfect way to wake up on a Saturday morning. Seriously, though, this story was great for more reasons than just the pairing. I loved the image of the two of them at H&M and at Jim and Pam's wedding. Kind of made me want to say "suck on that Howard!"
This started as a short little oneshot in response to the All About a Peripheral Character challenge, but some very kind reviewers mentioned it might be cool to continue with this idea. So here it is, the new and improved story of the other Jim and Pam :o)
How does Hunter, Jan's former personal assistant (and I guess Ryan's current assistant), relate to our favorite office? Well, let's just say he's a lot like Jim...

This was great! I never would have pictured Hunter as being such a Jim-esque romantic, but that's the fun thing about peripheral characters, you can do anything you want with them because they're such unknowns. Anyway, great job!

Not that I didn't enjoy the sombrero-snort moment I just had when I pictured Jim suddenly slinging a messenger boy over his shoulder. fire-man style, on his way to this romantic birthday dinner with Pam, but you know... it kinda took me out of the moment.

Oh wow! This was incredibly good. Although, I'm such a spoiled little fanfic reader that I was very sad we didn't get to hear their entire conversation and then see him show up on her doorstep sometime the next day with flowers and love confessions. I guess I should get out of my fluffy little fantasy world more often though, because this was fantastic! Well done!
A year or two before the cameras arrived, Michael takes the staff to the Poconos for a camaraderie event. Much unresolved sexual tension and angst ensues (uh, between Jim & Pam, not the entire staff).
As much as I'm happy for Jim and Pam finally getting together, or whatever it is that really happened at the end of S3, I'm such a sucker for the earlier seasons when they were just best friends in love with each other without knowing it or without being able to do anything about it.
That's why I'm so excited that you're still interested in writing those versions of Jim and Pam. I love the tension between them at this point, and the way they have so much fun together! So yeah, that was my long way of saying Yay for new girl7 and yay that it's not a first date fic. Even though I obviously loved Stolen too.
Also, I can't wait to see what you do with this. Will it be all fun and games or will the famous girl7 angst make an appearance? Can't wait to find out! :)
First of all: How awesome are you for leaving such a thoughtful, detailed review? (I'll answer that: Dawesome!) Second of all, I'm really glad you said what you did about pre-season 3 finale/date Jim & Pam. I really worried that this chapter would be boring. :O) But really, yes -- I completely agree that as much as I absolutely love the idea that Jim has finally asked her out (and she said yes!!!), I do love the way their dynamic was in the earlier days (pre-season 3). And as much as I love writing happy!Jim/Pam, I also love exploring the unresolved sexual tension and angst. (So in answer to your question....yeah, there'll be a healthy dose of angst here, but I'll [hopefully] make up for it via some nice sexual tension & flirty moments.)

I like this a lot. I love the way you explored Pam's conflicting feelings. It's so fun to go back to this time and try to figure out what she might have been thinking. Plus, your descriptions of Jim are HOT. All in all, great chapter!

Oh my goodness gracious! This story is so super-fabulous that I really am having a hard time coming up with words to tell you how much I love it.
Maybe I should just share a story instead. Yesterday was a very, very long day for me. I drove across three states and two time zones for a total of 12 hours--all alone. By the time I made it home I was exhausted and completely stressed out about everything I still had to do before morning. But did I do any of that stuff? Heck no! I mean, why do homework or unpack when you could be reading three new chapters of the latest girl7 goodness?
Anyway, sorry I didn't review the other chapters, but I loved them. And I can't wait to see where you take this story! Keep up the good work! ;)

Whoa. That was amazing. Seriously. I can't even mention all the things I loved about this chapter because it would take too long, but I will say that this topped your E-mail Surveillance chapters in Away From the Cameras, and I never thought that would happen. And those last few sentences, totally heartbreaking, but also totally awesome. I love your angst because for one thing its always so good, but also I can wallow in it as much as I like because I can tell that everything will be okay in the end.
Anyway, keep up the great work. I'll just be over here in the corner chanting "Kiss! Kiss! Kiss! Kiss!" :)
