I thought I was just here to read, but I guess I ended up writing a little. My bad. :)

I'm switching to Yes on beta-reader, because I should have more time now that I've finished my own recent story and I'll probably take a break from writing. I don't know how many requests will come from that, so I reserve the right to change back to No if I get overwhelmed. :) But I am an unrepentant grammar Nazi, and have edited a LOT in the past, so I'm totally up for a little beta.

I'm still trying to figure out how you could make the word "constellation" in Scrabble.  You have killed my brain.  Is there an actual combination whereby you can play that, or are you just messing with me?  Maybe if "stella" is a word, you could start with that and then build on it...gah.  Killed.

I love the explanation of why Pam wrote the note as a call back to notes from her mother.  That was really sweet.  And what Jim said about it--that it wasn't funny, but it was important--was just perfect.

And the Scrabble game is hilarious, because it's just like my boyfriend and me playing Scrabble together.  He now refuses to play it with me because he says it feels like school.  ;)

Oh, God, that Kevin.  He just kills me.  Even in fanfic, he kills me.  So, ya know, you must've written him pretty believably! :)

Personally, I'm betting Pam's actually got a nicer ass than Karen.  There were a couple of pairs of pants Karen wore that made me say, "What the--I thought she had a nice body!  What IS this?"  So it could've just been the pants, but still.  But still!  Hee. 



Author's Response: I TOTALLY agree with you on some of those pants Karen was wearing. I was like does she have an ass stunt-double in that scene? Because sometimes it looked like she had planks of wood attached to her backside. Okay. That was mean. Maybe she had a really bad case of hemoirrhoids (I'm positive I spelled that wrong and I am VERY glad that I have not had much occassion to spell it) and maybe she had to wear special ass-ware of some sort. I'd do more research into that but hmmm... no.

Wonderful!  You wrote everyone in the ensemble very believably, and there were so many great lines.  Andy's "I watch Animal Planet a lot," Dwight's revelation that proposing is different from fighting Cylons (LOL!), Michael pronouncing Dwight and Angela's relationship "gross."  It was all great.  I enjoyed it quite heartily.  :)

Author's Response: Thanks for reading!  I'm glad you found the characters to be believable.  It's funny when you're trying to think up the things that everyone would say, y'know?  I think when Michael finds out about Angela & Dwight, he will definitely think it's gross.  Because, really.  Does anyone want to imagine Dwight in a relationship?  (Except for us sick, twisted Office fans?)

Ooooh.  I have to admit, I sort of like Jim being an asshole for once--for real and for true: an asshole.  Because I don't buy him being a victim, not really.  Yes, Pam broke his heart, but she was never cold to him like he was to her...and this is what the kids call a tangent.  Dang--sorry about that!

Anyway, this is a perspective on Jim that I haven't read before, and I thought it was great.  Excellent job.

But I have to disagree with you somewhat - I don\'t think Jim is an asshole, I think he is a man in a certain situation, who is making really unfair choices (to people who love him, and want to love him).
