So this started in my mind as a little one shot (cue mocking laughter). Of course it expanded to a little more. It's pure speculation on my part, and is probably quite off. :o)

Casino Night ended slightly differently, so Pam and Jim are still on friendly terms when he heads for Australia. She makes a point to keep him up to date with what's going on on the home front. This follows most of the episodes from a different standpoint, adding more Angst to already Angsty Pam and Jim love story. If that's even possible. Pam is obviously unhappy and she begins to see things different with each passing episode.
Jim's been away. Now he's back. Pam realizes what she's missed. No spoilers - just speculation and much wishful thinking.

It's another Stamford office friday night, and Josh is buying the first few rounds. Jim tags along and hopes to start building some new relationships. That turns out to be more true than he could have imagined.
With apologies to Charles Dickens, here's the real story of what finally prompted Pam to call off the wedding. Just a collection of confections from a parallel universe where all the Herr’s potato chips in Montreal can’t keep Pam and Jim apart. I hope it’s as therapeutic to read, as it was to write.
