I swear to God the next statement I am going to make is true.
My best friend (female, 34 years old, normal American, right?) read this chapter and said "Who's Betty and Veronica?" I was like "Are you kidding?" She wanted me to take it out because she was sure that "only a small minority would get the reference!" I was like "HELL NO! I'm not taking it out. I'm going to spread the Betty and Veronica LOVE!" Go Betty! Get Archie out of Ronnie's manicured claws of Doom!

Hooray! You're back! Did you have a good vacation? Thanks so much for your reply to my last review. It greatly diminished my stress. :) I greatly enjoyed this chapter--I love how you can really hear the characters' individual voices through their emails. And Jim and Dwight were written perfectly too. I love how oblivious everyone was to the fact that Angela and Dwight actually are in a relationship. Pam is too sneaky. Gotta love her. Great new chapter, even though we STILL don't know what's going to happen with Phyllis and Jim.... I can't wait to find out, so please update soon! (BTW, I'm not really familiar with Archie, but I'm guessing that Pam and Karen are Veronica and Betty, right? Which one is which, and why? You don't have to answer--I'll go Wiki/Google them and see if I can figure it out.) Thanks so much for writing!

I love love love the Angela and Dwight relationship! It is so bizarre! They're my favorite couple just because of the ick factor.
I think Karen is definitely Veronica (glamour girl, upper class girl) and Pam has to be Betty (girl next door, best pal). I threw in Jim calling Dwight "Jughead" at the last minute. Jughead is Archie's best friend, but the name sounds like such an insult.
The hardest part about writing in each character's voice is that I want them to keep talking and talking. Especially Dwight. Once I get in Dwight's groove it's hard for me to turn it off. Kind of creeps me out.

OK. I'm giving you some hints because you're one of my favorite reviewers and I don't want to think of you stressing while I'm on the beach for the next 10 days. So: Pam has read the Email. She knows what it says. She has no desire to break Jim's heart. But she does want to get back at Phyllis for gossiping about her. Jim will be fine because Phyllis has all the time that Angela is doing her dare to think of just the right thing to say. The Dare will go down without a hitch. Kelly will completely misunderstand EVERYTHING!
Angela's dare is going to be FUN! Dwight is going to respond in such a weird way! It will be okay. No stress.

To show you how clueless I am... I wrote that and didn't even realize the innuendo until I read your "awkward much?" I was like "Wha?" And then I went "OH MY GOD! I talked about JIM'S ORGAN!" It was supposed to be a throwaway line to set up for the next laugh. HOLY CRAP! I LOVE that that was the line that made you post! Otherwise I would have never had a clue! Whew. Now I can act all cool about it and be like "Yeah, I meant that!"
