I'm glad you touched on this. I've wondered about this too. He fell in love with the first Pam, and he's with a very different one now. Also, the "action" sequences beyond hot. This is extremely well written. Great job!

That's an interesting idea that Jim might be too deferential and too careful with Pam to a point where it would become annoying to her. In a way, it is patronizing and she is not satisfied, both in bed and in tons of other ways. I don't think he is necessarily a tool for it; he just doesn't get it.
