"“Well, this is the Electric City, not the Timex City,” he joked. “Maybe they just forgot to synchronize their watches.”"
Ah Jim. You made me snort.
Can I share my pathetic NYE story? I was completely alone on the couch, watching I don't even know what with other people's kids asleep upstairs. It was perhaps the worlds most depressing new years. Because I was not in a happy mood, I was in a funk, and just being completely alone was not helping.
Jim and Pam have such romantic holidays. However, it really depresses me if that is the pattern I set for the rest of the year. Being depressed and alone? Eek.

“I mean, maybe I'm wrong, but I think it's still a bit soon for you to start acting like I'm just not here.”
Awww. Such a cute line in a simply adorable story. I just loved the way they celebrated their first NYE together. And, of course, the beginning of their first NY Day!
PS My mother always said the same thing about New Year's Day. So it looks like the pattern for 2008 is that you'll be writing stories and I'll be reading them. Happy New Year, Mox!!
Author's Response: That sounds like a great plan to me, Kay - thanks for reviewing! Happy 2008!

A great way for you to start the New Year's Mox, with a new fluffy story for us. Wonderful as always and full of hope for our fave couple.
Well, I'm spending my New Year's filling out the FAFSA for my daughter, trying to estimate income and taxes early for '07. Major yuck! I actually had to take a break from it to read your fic! So thanks.
If I heeded Pam's grandma's advice, I would go out for a nice, long walk. However it was snowing for awhile earlier, enough to dust the streets and now it's changed to gross, freezing rain, so I think I'll just can that idea.
Happy 2008 to you!
Author's Response:
Yeah, I gotta get on that FAFSA too - even though our current income in NO WAY will reflect our situation come summer! It's currently 22 and very windy. It's trying to snow but it might actually be too cold....
Oh, and thanks for the review - you're the best! Happy New Year, dear!

I have heard that as well. I'd better get going!!
BTW -- a nice start to 2008, Miss Moxie! Fireworks, indeed...
Author's Response:
Just go make us some more Yummy Jim/JK related pieces of pretty, and we'll all be starting the new year right!
Thanks for reviewing! :-)

Aw, grandma knows best. 'Pretty damn close' indeed. Very sweet and so hopeful, Mox....thanks for the New Year's fluff! (Nice image of them wrapped in that afghanistananni too, my dear.)
Author's Response:
yeah, I had originally put them in a generic 'blanket' - but I pictured them in a multi-colours granny square afghan, so I had to go back and clarify. Thanks for noticing!
Here's to more JK and happiness in the new year! :-)

Very nice, moxie! Thanks for sharing this with us. I'd never heard that about setting the pattern; I'll have to pay attention to what I do today as well. :)
I loved this: “A whole new year of you and me,” she replied softly. “This will be the first full year with nobody between us, no misunderstandings, and absolutely no regrets.” Hooray!
Happy New Year, mox! Happy 69th story. (Kevin giggles.)
Author's Response: Thanks for reviewing, kev! Now if we could just get those kids back on the telly so we could see how 2008 plays out for them....!

What a great way to start 2008!
I also love that the first story I have read in 2008 is by you. Happy New Year to Jim, Pam and you, moxie!
Author's Response: thanks so much, bees!! Happy New Year to you as well! :-)

Happy New Year, Moxie, and thanks for sharing your vision. Needless to say, I really enjoyed this. Here's hoping that 2008 brings you continued inspiration (dare I hope in the the form of new episodes really soon?).
Author's Response: New episodes would be better than if pretzel day came every day..... thanks for the review! Happy 2008!

That was very sweet, Moxie! Pretty much how I envisioned Pam and Jim's NYE. Just the two of them, grateful to be together with no more crap between them! LOL Happy 2008!
Author's Response: Thanks so much, Abigail! I hope we soon see those crazy kids back on tv - so we can see them going through 2008! Happy New Year!
