i read this story once before somewhere else and loved it but thought it was lost..so happy to see it here! You can really feel how much Jim loves Pam. And the ending *sigh* so sweet!

I'm so glad you liked it. Ummm. I kinda feel like I have written an epilogue (or two or three) with all the happily ever after and married Jim & Pam stories in my little collection. This was nice. The emotions were real - especially Pam's insecurity.
You mentioned the myspace pics. Rashida looked well put together. Wonder how that will play out.
In the author's note you said this grew out of your exprience with a dress you wore to a wedding. What happened?

Thanks! I'm glad you thought so. That was my feeling too. Pam's look is so plain and I had an inkling anyone Jim might have occasion to come in contact with IF he transferred might be a tad more sophisticated.
As far as what happened - nothing nearly this dramatic. Just me wearing a fancier dress than most of the guests at the wedding and feeling slightly out of place. That fact inspired a story about Pam overhearing catty comments about her dress in the Ladies' Room but all I got were compliments. :) Happy to report all the drama all occurs on these pages.

I'm pretty sure all of the squealing and giddy laughing I just did woke everyone in my house. You always have pitch-perfect characterization, but I just need to tell you that you have them down so well that it always amazes me.
I loved the "I’d hate to find out you were a catty, bitter, miserable bitch after all this time" line. I pictured him saying that, and I swear there is nothing sexier, and I don't know why.
God, this was just perfect. Amazing job!
