I absolutely adore this series. I know it's Pam-centric but I hope you do a Jim guest shot. Loving it!
Author's Response:
I'm so glad. Thank you!!!

This is my favorite chapter yet...they've all been great, but this one for me tops them all. You managed to cover so much ground in such a short amount of space here...just the little details about them spinning around the kitchen, how Pam feels when people touch her, how freaking adorable Jim is with his Grandpa-esque sports on the radio and how he's introducing baby Halpert to good music. I also loved the details about him never buying another iPod for himself -- especially now. Again, just such a great chapter.
Author's Response:
The kitchen thing was incredibly self indulgent - I just want to see them do that - or at least like imagining it. Jim is totally grandpa-esque and you know he's a music geek.
I am so very glad you liked it. Especially coming from such a baby connoisseur as yourself. ;)

"Your father likes to listen to baseball on the radio. He says that's what his grandpa used to do. I love that about him."
That. Is. Awesome.
Author's Response:
That's actually me - and my whole family. We are baseball geeks.
I didn't think it was beyond the realm of possibility for Jim to be one too. So... I made him one.
Glad to know you appreciate the thought. :)

A little lawn chair with umbrella? How do you come up with these precious little details?
By the way, your dad is the only person who has permission to touch my stomach any time the mood strikes him. I absolutely love it when he does that. Just thinking about that? Guh.
And this: You're going to be the very first person I know from the moment they were born. That's a pretty amazing thought--and I'm a mom!
So enjoying this, Hugs.
Author's Response:
I might have thought a little too much what it'll be like when/if I have kids.
Maybe.
Possibly.
:) Glad to know someone who has actually has had the experience is enjoying it. Thank you so much for taking the time to tell me so.

Super cute, especially Jim buying all the random stuff while being sent out to buy milk lol
Author's Response: I just think it's something he would do. :) Glad you're enjoying it!

Awesome... Once again.. that was great.. It kinda made me want to re-read all the other chapters again! I can't wait for the "spoiler" you mentioned about Jim.... You are a great writer...
-D
Author's Response: Dedeen you are incredibly sweet. Thank you so much for the review. I am so very glad you are enjoying the story!

This is adorable. I can just see Jim out there, buying toddler size things at random when he's out to buy something totally unrelated. Love the way you phrase Pam's thoughts about starting a family in the house Jim grew up in. Playing music to Pam's tummy. (I remember doing that with my Young Blood almost 20 years ago!) All very sweet.
Author's Response: I know I can see it - but I'm so glad there are others who share my vision. So glad it rings true to you. Thank you so much for taking the time to tell me so!

this is so cute and heartwarming :)
Author's Response: Thank you so much! I'm so glad you're enjoying it.

Aw, I love how Jim is just so excited and singing the cheesy '80s. That's just too adorable. I agree how Pam feels how people are trying to touch her belly and swatting Michael's hand every second. At the end, I love how Pam takes it back about waiting for the baby to arrive. After all, I got to say is that keep up the great work and I can't wait for more! =)
Author's Response:
I'm trying to reply more quickly! I'm glad you're still enjoying it. You'll have to wait a little bit - but I'm tweaking as fast as I can.
Sit tight. We're almost there. Just a few more chapters to go!

i feel like such a stalker for never reviewing all the stuff i read on this site (especially from people like you), so i'm just going to review this because i love it, i'm currently reading it, you're currently writing it, and that sounds good enough to me.
i love this story. i love it because, as a writer, you know that a lot of times things are a lot harder to say than they are to write. that's one of my favorite things about this. sometimes the way that feels the most real and the most raw in terms of trying to get a character to reveal inner thoughts is to have them write. i really think you show such a true pam here, and it's lovely!
i love everything i've read from you which, if i'm not mistaken, is just about everything. thank you for keeping the spirit alive while we're on this torturous break!
Author's Response:
You are too sweet. I am happy to read a review. So whenever the mood strikes you - no worries! I have had a million stories in my head that are Pam-centric. I've stopped and started about a dozen. The only other time I attempted this it was a one-shot - one that I'm pretty proud of. It took forever for me to get the courage to do it again.
Really. You've basically made my day. Thank you again. I'm so happy to hear when someone likes what I've written. I'd write anyway - but it's most definitely the icing on the cake to know that there are people reading along.

These are so cute. I love Pam's voice in these letters to Jelly Bean. Best parts in this chap for me? All the Dwight details. So perfect!
Author's Response: Oh Dwight. So simple - yet so complicated. Thanks so much for the review. I'm glad you think her voice comes through. It was the thing that scared me to death about doing this to be honest!

That's just freakin cute! =) I can't wait for season 6 like everyone else here says. Seeing Jim as expectant father is going to be fun to watch!
Author's Response: I feel so bad! I never got a chance to reply to this before you sent another review!! I'm so happy you like it.

*grinning like a fool* I cannot freaking wait for S6. Between Pam being pregnant and maybe a little cranky, Jim being deliriously happy & proud and everyone in the office saying inappropriate things -- pure freaking gold. They don't even need to have any real plot, everyone can sit around and sell paper and it will be so freaking exciting.
Seeing John play an expectant father in AWG did not help me cool my jets for this at all.
So happy to see you writing again, XO. Go kick another mountain's ass today ;o)
Author's Response:
You and me both. I think that's a perfect idea for a show.
I'll tell you what - that beats Jay Leno 5 nights a week any day.
Static for me beats Jay Leno so maybe that's not saying much.
I cannot wait to see AWG. I found out it's playing at theatre closest to me so I'm going there next week.
Thanks so much! I'm going to try a treadmill today instead of the mountain but I was glad I took that on last night.
About 6 months ago I'd have collapsed halfway there for sure so that's something! ;)
Happy to be writing and that there are still people who want to read.
OK - this is the most random review reply ever. LOL!

Again, super cute!
Author's Response: Thank you!!!

Oh how great....what a fantastically plausible reveal of baby Halpert being in the oven. I can absolutely see it coming out because of Michael's new appeteezer. lol
Good work!
Author's Response: Aw shucks. I am glad you approve. :) Thank you as always for letting me know.
Date: June 02, 2009 08:02 pm Title: Chapter 1
this is probably the CUTEST story i have ever read! i love how pam is calling the baby jellybean and you write what's going on inside her head so perfectly :)
love. it.

*sigh* Thank you for this, Hugs. It really perked up my spirits. I can hardly wait for this to happen. I think your version of the eventual bean spilling is pretty dang perfect.
Author's Response:
You are most welcome. I know. September seems so far away! I can't even talk about when the baby finally gets here.
I think I have a problem. At least I have company right? LOL!
Date: June 02, 2009 05:08 pm Title: Chapter 5
How have we not talked about this?
I've been a bad (read: lazy, no good) reviewer lately. But this is delightful. Your Michael is still the Michael-ist Michael in Michaeltown. (Kinda scary how you do that ;-) And I love the conception pool and just the joyful, funny - and Office-specific - tone of this. Sweet, yet not schmoopy. Looking forward to more gestating.
Author's Response:
Not my fault. You were off carousing with what's-her-name. :)
I write Michael the way I write Dwight in a way. Just pick something ridiculous and run.
Thank you so much for stopping by. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay. :) Come back soon!

I personally think this idea of Pam writting letters is amazing! You really grasped her character here! It's super cute, adorable... my heart gushes out! Perhaps you could include a letter from Jim?? mayb?? Great job!
Author's Response:
Thanks so much Dedeen! You are not the only person dying for a letter from Jim. I'm going to give you my standard answer with a teensy spoiler.
This? Is Pam's thing. In my mind I don't think Jim is even aware she's writing at this point to be honest.
But one of these days...Pam just might be too busy - or maybe exhausted - to put pen to paper.
Just saying. :)
Date: June 02, 2009 03:44 pm Title: Chapter 5
You're on a roll, lady. This was awesome. Words uttered by Dwight... and why do I also find it amusing that it would be Pam who blurts it out, not Jim? Also, the description of the Tuna Unsandwich? With cinnamon raisin bread in it? Priceless.
Please continue. :)
Author's Response:
Yay! Glad you liked it. I was torn with this one - because you know it's going to be so incredibly inappropriate when everyone finds out - yet I have to remember she's talking to her kid. I was hoping for a good balance.
And yeah. Michael's recipe is gross. lol!
Thanks so much for the review.

Another lovely chapter :)
Author's Response: Another sweet review. :) Thanks so much!

Cop out!!
Just kidding. I know what you mean- I love to write spec, but I don't always want to have to be wrong! Anyway, whenever, however it happens, this is how she'll feel about it, so it is undeniably true. Beautiful, as usual.
Author's Response:
Whatever. :) That's the thing. I knew I'd end up taking liberties here (see latest chapter) but this is one thing I want to let the writers handle. I could make it elaborate and I know they'll make it simple and vice versa.
Thank you for your continued support. It is very much appreciated.

What, you're passing up the opportunity to write up their wedding? I'm shocked.
These are such fun. I smile when I read them. The Pam-like mix of humor and sentimentality is right on. I can hear her voice in the letters.
Author's Response:
I am. Consider me 30% more unpredictable.
I have my own ideas of what the wedding will/could be but I'm not in the mood to be wrong about it when it finally happens. So I took a different direction - one that focused more on the meaning behind their wedding than the event itself.
Smiling is good. And hearing Pam's voice is even better. Thanks. :)

I'm finally posting here. This is so perfect! I love how you have captured all the emotions a mom to be is feeling. That last chapter was brillant.
Author's Response: Thanks kh!! I'm so happy you liked it! Thanks for stopping by. :)

I love the ending! Hee! You know Angela will have something to say about it.
"Bonus! This also means you no longer have a chance of being born illegitimately. It's a good day to be you Bean.... Really. You have absolutely no chance no matter what Angela might have to say about it."
haha!! Awesome!
