I wish my boyfriend would help me around the house! Hmm, maybe that's why I like Jim so much because he would have no problem helping out. lol, keep it up!

Author's Response: Jim's practically ruined me for all other men so I know what you mean. :)  Glad you liked it!

The fluff if just what is needed right now. No new episodes, Karen still in the way. Thanks for painting a picture of happy Jamland. Keep 'em coming.

Author's Response: Thank you for reveiwing!  More soon!!  I promise.  I'm working on typing up the next one as we speak.

So sweet!  But, doesn't he sing "You are my lucky star, I'm lucky in your arms..."?  Maybe the title is You Were Meant for Me.  Anyway, very sweet, I love the domestic bliss.

Author's Response:

He sings both in the movie.  The scene I'm referring to has him singing You Were Meant for Me.  It's also featured in the movie The Object of My Affection and ummm...also Xanadu.  Ahem.  Anyway.  Not that Jim and Pam are anything like Jennifer Aniston and Paul Rudd as her gay best friend or Olivia Newton-John and a disco roller rink for that matter.

Geez, tangent anyone???  LOL!  ANY-WAY, so glad you liked it. :)

OK, how much do I Looove your explanation of why that Jewel song was "their" song? Actually, I love all of this- her hesitation to ask him for something so simple, and their silly banter, and the spectre of Roy that haunts both of them. Beautiful, fluffy fun!

Author's Response:

I can't imagine Pam is so dense she thinks that Jewel song is a good omen.  No love song should include the line "I'm half alive but I feel mostly dead."

"You're like a plaintive melody That never lets me free.  But I'm content The angels must have sent you And they meant you just for me..." is 1 bajillion times better.  At least in my opinion.

Thanks Lis!  I'm so glad you liked it.

Wow -- for fluff, you have a lot of amazing stuff in here!!  The detail about the song "You Were Meant for Me" is so cool!   (And who doesn't think of "Singin' in the Rain" when they see those shots from the LtW filming?)  And of course, Pam shops at Jenna's favorite store.

A lovely little confection to enjoy with my morning coffee, thank you!

Author's Response:

I love it when I find something like that.  And my thought process is so bizarre but in this case it worked out.

I'm glad I could create a piece of coffee cake for ya. :)

A dedication? Seriously? It's like Kasey Kasem just said my name on the radio! Or am I dating myself?

Let's get down to it! I thought this was brilliant before and then you tweaked it again and made it perfect. First of all, Target and Singin' in the Rain, BAM! Perfect. Jim engaged in domestic chores. Awesome. "My Pam", I think I just got goosebumps. The talk about shabby, spontaneous amputation, moms kicking his ass, and Roy just not getting it. You always know just what to say!

And the best part???? Three more chapters!!! What more could a gal want? *hugs* to you hugs!

Author's Response:

This is a long distance dedication.  Dear Kasey...I have these friends who are desperately in love but are so wrapped up in misunderstandings they can't see what is right in front of them.  Could you please play..."(insert relevant JAM song here)" for Jim and Pam from every heartbroken fan everywhere?  I know it would mean a lot to Par5 who is so distraught she now will be happy with them simply taking out the trash together."  Signed: xoxoxo from NYC.

Keep your feet on the ground and keep reaching for the stars. ;)

Who's dating themselves NOW?!?! LOL!

and I'm so glad you liked it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great job!  I love the way you had Jim just fall in step with Pam's plans in such an agreeable unspoken way - the way two people who are beginning to see themselves as a couple would.   It really made me smile this morning while reading it.  It's gonna be a great day!

Author's Response: I'm so glad to hear that I put a smile on your face.  He is just wonderful isn't he???

Ahhh....xoxoxo.  You know exactly what we needed.  I love your fluff - it's the prettiest fluff of all.

SEriously though - this is all kinds of sweet and perfect.  I always love your fluffy Jim and Pam.  They make me smile.  What a great way to start the day!

And?  More chapters?  I'm so excited I can't wipe the stupid grin off my face! Yay!

Author's Response:

That's so sweet of you to say kells.  It makes me smile writing things like this so I am glad we are on the same page.

Yep.  3 more chapters.  So stay tuned!

Oh, this was SOOOOO lovely!!  What a perfect way to start my morning.  It might even encourage me to finish chapter 12 of squirrel today.  I really, really loved this.  Why is it so hard for GD not to see the good in together Jam????  Damn him.

Thank goodness we've got you, xoxoxo!!

Author's Response:

SOOOOOOOOO glad!!!  Hey anything I can do to help the cause. ;)

Aww shucks. Thanks Mox!

Still totally charming and fun - even on the 27th reading! (Just kidding!Keep those previews coming!) A series about them being domestic together is so perfect for these two - I know I've said it to you before - but it's the romance of the ordinary. They can just go to Target or hang curtains and it's as romantic as moonlight and champagne. Gene Kelly, a little steam, basketball, linens, undies...what more could I want? Can't wait to see what chores they do next! (Oh, and spontaneous amputation - hee!)

Author's Response: Man, this one gave me fits.  Even more awful than writers block is knowing the story you want to tell but being unable to get it out.  I'm glad you like new part.  Gen was right.  It works so much better.  As for more chores, I believe they might be doing some painting.  :) You'll have to wait and see.

So cute I'm like, speechless. They sounded so in-character and I loved the silliness in Target! And Jim, hanging up curtains, just like a good boyfriend should. Your fics never fail to make me squee!

Author's Response: Oh thank you so much!  I love imagining them just doing things that are ordinary - because that's basically what they are.

ugh, there's something about watching these two do simple things like shop at Target and hang curtains that is just so enchanting. And Jim true to form - going out to get that DVD so he can make sure he gets the right song for their wedding. I thought it was an AWESOME call to have Roy think it was the Jewel one. Loved this.

Author's Response: I'm glad you think so - or I'd be out of a job. ;)   I'm so glad you liked my silly little idea.

That was so good! And made me so happy after a long and tiring day! Thanks!
Sometimes (I am finding this is especially true during this long hiatus) I just need some good fluff. And this was particularly good. You've combined a great movie, a shopping trip and cute, happy Jim and Pam. What more could a reader want? Oh, and let's not forget perfect characterization and excellent dialogue.
I feel better now. Thank you!

Author's Response: Glad I could help you out.  I love writing pieces like these.  Trust me it helps me in much the same way it does you.  I'm so happy you enjoyed reading it.

Love it.  I could gorge myself on your perfect fluff all night.  The way you capture the thought process of people really in love is great, and of course your gift for dialogue is amazing.  Mostly, though, I can always trust your stuff to make me happy.

Author's Response:

Well isn't that the nicest of compliments!  Thanks so much!!  It's really interesting to hear your perspective, because sometimes I fear I'm just being so over the top sappy that I'll put readers into a diabetic coma.  Glad to know that doesn't seem to be the case.

OH!   I see you recently posted another Art Show piece.  Pam as an artist is one of my favorite incarnations - so I'll have to go take a look. :)

That detail involving Roy confusing Jewel and Gene Kelly? Sheer brilliance. Loved it!

Author's Response: Thank you!  The Jewel lyrics are just so awful - I had to believe Pam would notice that in some way.

Target!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I LOVE Target (and I know the secrets to their sales. My old econ professor used to work for Target and used it a lot in her examples). I will sometimes go twice a day.
This story is ADORABLE. And I LOVE Singin' in the Rain (Whaddaya think I am? Dumb or somethin'?). Seriously, that song is great (though I personally love "Good Mornin" the best) and I can see Pam enjoying it. I can also see how Roy would have confused the song. But yes, Jewel was more appropriate for them.
And Jim's need to one-up Roy is petty, but it's real.
To put things simply, I love you for writing this. And for giving me the hope for more!
*hug*
Thx.
cheers.

Author's Response:

Target sales secrets???  I'm afraid to learn them.  I'm already in tons of trouble when it comes to them.

I picked the song because of the title mostly - and the whole ladder thing...and just because I'm a sap.

I'm so glad you liked it.

I liked this.  There's a lot happening (but in a good way).  One of my favorite lines is "their Moms could totally kick my ass."  Hmm.  Remember, Jim likes moms.  Kev knows all too well.

I'm sure Jim would LOVE to go to Target with Pam.  Maybe she would get on the loudspeaker.

Sometimes, I sing that "Moses (supposes his noses were roses)" song from Singing in the Rain.  That probably makes me really weird.  But that song you're talking about is good, too.  Lot of good songs in that movie.

Jim should definitely buy that DVD.

Thanks for the fluff.  And... yeah, NYC would be just the place for Karen.  Maybe she can date any corporate Dunder-Mifflinites she hasn't dated yet.

Author's Response:

But Moses supposes errorreously.  (and hee!  It's toeses not noses - unless he has a really weird looking face! LOL!)

If that makes you weird - I'm afraid to think what I might be. :)

And yeah - Pam should have let him skip practice.  She might have cause to worry about the Moms.   ;)

It's sweet stories like this that remind me of why we're rooting for Jim and Pam. Excellent work; the characters are spot-on, and I love the scenarios you've dreamed up for these two. More chapters soon, please!!  --CH

Author's Response: Sometimes you just need a little reminder.  I am more than happy to provide. :)  Thanks Becky!

I bow down to you...because I am freaking grinning from ear to ear here and that hasn't happened on this site in DAYS! So cute and awesome future fluff! I've been rereading your fic/Lovefools fic after every angsty story and I totally needed some new fluff so thank you...

In respect to this little jam gem I have to say that the image of Jam in Target is my new favorite, I love how he gets suckered into 'shopping' but he seems turn it around into fun...and is Jim safe around all those Moms? They are after all his type...lol... hehe please tell me there will be a scene of him coaching....because Jim+trash talking eleen year olds would be amazing...

Okay I'm gonna reread this now before I get suckered into more angst...

Author's Response:

tizzy - The image of Jim trash talking w/11 yr olds is now my favorite one EVER. There's actually a place where I think I can work that in so stay tuned.

Thanks so much for your lovely review!

Yea!  I get review number one!  I didn't get home till late, but this was the first thing I did.  LOVE LOVE IT!  Such a nice happy fuzzy story, and frankly I needed it.  Some of the things I adored:

He'd whispered in her ear, gently tugging on her hair.  "There's my Pam..."   How do I love this?  Let me count the ways.....

She's nervous because even though they've been together for almost two months (as of next Thursday, actually and he'd already told her not to make plans.

Now that's an anniversary i want to see.

"It could still happen."  He suggests as his mouth seeks hers.

"Hmmm?"

"The song.  Maybe it will play at your wedding."

GUH!  Love this and Love the idea of Jim's mouth, oops did I say that? bad unc.  Also liked the background since no one could figure out why the Jewel song was used in PW!

In short, BRAVO BRAVO.  MORE MORE.  Bring on the fludd.  ;-)

Author's Response:

LOL!  The "My Pam" line is incredibly sappy - but the idea of it made me so happy I could not resist.  And yeah - Poor Roy.  He tries but he just doesn't get it.

So glad you liked it!
