OMG, I was so happy to see this story updated. I remember reading this months ago and I was SO hooked. You write these characters so clearly and so realistically; your story was such a joy to read! I love the conflicting emotions about this new pregnancy and I love the way you wrapped this chapter. How's Pam's instinctive need to protect her child is what suddenly made everything so real for her. What a beautiful story. Can't wait for the epilogue.
Author's Response: Thank you so much for this nice little comment :) I'm a little (okay, a lot) stuck on an epilogue because I want to make sure it goes well with the rest of the story, but I definitely plan to write it.

So good! I love how real this one feel to me. Some bad feelings just come to surface when something like this happens. You are still showing their love and care for each other while having to deal with the hard stuff.

I like how you've made Pam conflicted. I love that they were so immediately happy on the show, but another unexpected surprise like this... I think it's only natural that she'd have a swirl of emotions.

As I mentioned on the forum, I love this story and am so glad you linked it. I would have hated to miss an update! You shouldn't worry about your characterizations, because they're spot on (IMHO). Despite the angst of a second unplanned pregnancy, this is just bursting with love. Please keep going, and please continue to notify us on the forum when you update.

hey just saying, i love the story so far! little surprised by the amount of angst in chapter two but the realistic way you phrase pam's thoughts and actions along with jims really make the story worth reading. hoping for a chapter three soon!!!

This is so, so wonderful and in-character. I love how you're going through each of Pam's thoughts, dealing with all of her emotions... from feeling guilty of loving one baby more than another, wanting some piece of romance left for another pregnancy, worrying about her marriage, and even still thinking of the baby weight "that will probably never go away now." I'm so happy you had Jim "elated" about it. I think he would be, too, despite all of the things that Pam's going through. I can't wait to see what else you're going to do with this. Hope to have another chapter here from you soon. =)

This is so great, congrats on posting your first fic here! I definitely think there's so many places you can go with this idea. And your writing is really great, your description of Cecelia is perfect, and your characterization is on. I'm hoping you do continue this, I think there's plenty that you can explore.

BEAUTIFUL. This is a really special fic made doubly special by the fact this is your first fic here. (And with such talent? Now you're just showing off..;))
I know most readers are greedy and always ask for more instead of respecting the natural conclusion of a fic. But honestly, there is SO much you could do with this, I would love it if you continued. I think what I really want to see is just Jim's reaction! All those possibilities...
What I love best about this, though, is the honesty. I remember talking to a close relative who when they found out they were pregnant (again), they burst into tears because they didn't want to face it all over again. Then they cried even more out of guilt for thinking that. It's a difficult situation, even though it's assumed it's such a happy thing. So like I said, I would love more, but thank you just for this. :)

This was great. I like where it ended, but I could see a little more to the story if you're up to it or inspired to do so. This was a wonderful first story on this site, and such a believable reaction to a surprising discovery. She loves her little girl so much, and just wanted to enjoy her and give her the attention, etc. that she needed. Wanted the romance of "trying" for a baby. Oh, this was a good one. If you don't have plans to continue, I really hope you add to your fic collection on this site, soon. =)

I sincerely hope that you continue this, as it's such an exciting story with a ton of potential and directions you can choose to use. I have a friend who found out she was pregnant again when her first baby was 6 months old. It was quite a shock and an interesting adventure for her.
This is a lovely first story.
