This has really become my one of my all time favorite post-The Job fics. I love the alternating narratives, and the characters are written spot on. Also, some of the little details you've thrown in, like Cole Hamels (my favorite pitcher!) really add depth and flavor to a great story.
Lastly, was the quote you heard from Ben Stein from one of his appearances on Loveline? I was just listening to one of his shows with Adam and Drew on my iPod, and he talked about that exactly, along with his book.

Love this story, as I've said before. I wasn't expecting the flashbacks, but they were a great surprise and a welcome set up for what's coming next. Also, I really like your pranks. Or not so much pranks, but the way you have Jim suggest something that seems very real and in character, and is still fun without being antagonistic. Great job!

This was great. Alan Shore is one of my favorite characters of anything ever, and he's so well written here, which is really hard to do. Love love LOVE Alan tearing into Jim and giving him the wake up call.
And yes, my ultimate dream is a Wire/Office crossover! I've had all kinds of ideas for how to make it work, but the heartbreaking Greek tragedy style of The Wire mixing with the comedy with a heart of The Office is so intimidating.

Oh wow. I always love your writing, even if it's not the happiest of endings. I still think Jim and Pam have some stuff to work through, and a situation like this would definitely count as something that needed to be worked on. Great, great job, as usual.

Believe it or not, this is more along the lines of the stories I wrote in other fandoms before this one (something about Jim/Pam just brought out the squee in me), and now that they're having more mature and realistic issues with their relationship than the UST I felt like revisiting this kind of story.
