I really enjoyed this story.  I spent the whole evening reading it.  But I have to say, I so wanted Jim to get in his car at the end and drive over and take her into his arms!  Maybe it would be raining that night, she opens the door and he is there, drenched and hunger in his eyes.  I really felt his torment and pain.  I just wanted a ending with a really BIG BANG!  But I did really enjoy it.  Made my toes tingle.
