I have decided to expand on the idea of Codename: Chicken Plate.  This will be my take on the emails, phone calls and conversations we missed over the summer and for the first part of Season 3 (until Pam and Jim actually communicate themselves)  My idea is that Jim knows exactly what happened between Pam and Roy and knows exactly what is going on in Pam's life right now even if WE don't see it.

I finally got a minute to catch up on some stories and wow. Effectively capturing the steamy stuff in words is not easy - and you've certainly done it here. Love that Jim is the first 'object of desire' here, instead of Pam. Looking forward to more updates.

'Caught' - too cute. How sweet is it that Jim would be embarassed the next day? And, frankly, no wonder he's a bit 'over-stimulated' given the long, slow burn Pam's been putting him through - am hoping those post cards will inspire her to jump in the deep end of the pool with him. Meanwhile, this is one hot read.

Back with style, moxie! And with cuddly, delicious strawberry JAM. And sweet, fantasizing, supportive Jim...all the elements for a most satisfying chapter. (Only one thing - is there such a thing as having had plenty of him?)

Author's Response: Thanks, colette - and I think "plenty" is relative, Pam certainly was eager for more once she'd had a bite to eat!!  Besides, I think you'll find that as they get used to the idea that they do actually have each other, a little of the desperation wears off, which is what I hope the progression of this story shows.  Still plenty of smut to go around, though!

I like how you bring so much heat during their phone call, without ever saying specifically what they're doing...well done. Sorry to see it end...it's been a hell of a ride!

I think you've got her state of mind just right. All the ambivalence, regret, wistfulness. Admit I'm still reeling a little from GWH, and this definitely helps process it in a way that makes sense.

I had a tough time with it myself - but the more I think about it - the more l like the idea.  In my other fics I have outside influences force Pam to make the decision.   I love that she called off the wedding herself. 

I didn't want to....it happened before I could stop myself.  I really want to know more before I go further.  I think I'll be too disappointed if I write now because I just can't stand them apart.

1) I'm amazed that you could write something this finely detailed so soon after the episode 2) so satisfying to read an unabridged version of what we get on TV 3)so happy that Jonathan essentially says, what the hell?!? to her. Somebody needs to.

And besides that, loved Pam's perceptions of how her date would be so different if it were Jim there. Do we have to wait for another episode before you write more of this? Say it's not so.

What a delight, from start to finish. And I don't even remember the original movie, so this really stood on its own. Love when Dwight says 'Vengance is almost mine.' Perfect.

BTW, I don't know if you ever saw one of my older stories, 'The Visit' but there's a chapter in there called 'Do-over' in which Pam also asks Jim for the same thing, though in an entirely different set-up.
