I want to reach into this fic and hug Jim.  Not such an unusal thing - but usually I want to hug him for being so dang sweet.  This Jim needs a hug for a whole lot of different reasons.  I swear this is a compliment - but knowing what I know about how things play out - it's kinda like watching a runaway train speed toward the inevitable crash and I'm desperate to pull the emergency break.

I'm taking you at your word - that you'll resolve this in some hopeful fashion so I'll sit on my hands for now and enjoy the ride.

She feels herself pulled towards him, as though there's an invisible elastic band connecting them. It's been pulled taut with wanting and waiting and time, and now it's recoiling, moving their hearts back together twice as quickly as they moved apart.

That in particular (and the story as a whole) was simply sweet and incredibly lovely.
