Whoa. This was insanely good. Thank you for joining and showing the rest of us how it's done! ;) I hope you stick around and bring us more things like this. This is the best kind of hurt, reading stories like these. The part with the medal between Pam and Jim was perfect. And the ending kills. Please post again. Great first fic here. :)

Author's Response: Thanks so much, I'm thrilled people have enjoyed this - it's aways a bit nervewracking, posting in a new fandom. I think I've got a few more fics in me yet though, so watch this space... :)

Ooooohhhh, I'm going to love this one. I'm already well aware of it, haha. And, really, I'm glad someone tackled this "cliche." And I'm glad it was you. Can't wait for the update. I heard every word from these two in this.

Author's Response: Thanks so much for your comments, yanana. I'm a painfully slow writer, but I'm vowing to keep after this and really, it writes more quickly than a lot of other stuff. I guess I like cheesy.

Yeah, you would post this as soon as I was heading to bed. Worth it, though. I love this damn story. Hope there's another quick update for us soon!

Author's Response: Thanks yanana, I'm glad you like it. I'm not fast in the writing department but I'll get the next chapter done hopefully within a week - I have no desire to drag this out.

I am ridiculously excited for the conclusion to this story. I love your Jim and Pam so much, and the pacing you bring to each of your stories works so well. Poor Jim, just wanting a normal experience for her and them, and working so hard to be good to her -- him shoveling the driveway over and over again makes my heart melt. What a guy. I love the sockhat. That is probably the cutest thing ever, actually.

Have to ask -- real life experience, obstetrician, or just plain ol' research on all this stuff?

Author's Response: I'm tickled you're enjoying my little yarn here. I'm writing this from Jim's POV, so obviously I'm feeling sorry for him, but Pam's the one who this really sucks for, right? *snort* Nope, not an obstetrician. Got two kids of my own, and I knew a lot of this information before writing, but really, it's all available on the internet if you look for it.

Great job! I think you did a great job with Jim -- focusing on the details that would make him squeamish, and the ones that would make his heart just about burst. Jim would be so overwhelmed in this situation; you did a great job highlighting what he would be picking out. His response to Dr. Bressman's "How does she look?" was perfect! Great balance here. Glad you're giving us an epilogue for this one. And, god, I love that damn sock hat.

Author's Response: Thanks, yanana, for your comments. I wasn't at all sure about this chapter (am still not, I guess). Apart from the cliche problem, which I accepted from the beginning, I had trouble with how to show labor being tiresome without boring the crap out of the reader. I'm glad you thought it worked okay. I'm kind of attached to the sock hat as well. Ah well, the "real thing" is only a day away. I appreciate your taking the time to review!

Damn, angst.

Poor Jim, imagine the night he had post-Booze Cruise. S2 Jim needs a giant hug from his future post-the Job self.

I do love all of the season two fic lately. Brings back the hurt, which is a nice prep for all the good things coming from our favorite couple. Not gonna lie, though, my initial reaction to the last line was, "oh em gee, did he die in a fiery wreck without a DD?" ::rolls eyes::

Great job as always. So excited to see an update from you, colette and jazzfan all on the same day.

Author's Response: LOL. No ma'am he didn't die...he just never texted her back. lol.  Thanks so much for your kinds words Yanana. I'm glad dipping my toe in the angsty waters was well received...Now bring on the babies.

This is so, so wonderful. I was hesitant to read it at first because I saw it wasn't completed, but when you changed that I jumped right in. I loved this one. I'll be rereading this a few times. Pam's reaction to the pregnancy and impending motherhood hasn't really been highlighted, and there's a good chance we won't get to see a whole lot of it post-baby episode, perhaps, so this fic is going to fill a void. And it's a great way to fill it. I hope to see more from you again soon!

You need to stop with this. This is too great. Some of the lines your Jim says?

"I mean - think about that. Think about that."

"I'd wondered what part of he or she you were busy making then."

Ugh. I'm so glad you updated this so fast. I can't wait for the next one. This is just too great.

Oh my gosh, I love Jim in this chapter. He's a little exasperated, stirring pudding -- and I love that he's worn out and making the pudding because it's a request that wasn't a request but really is -- so exasperated that he doesn't even realize his wife is coming onto him. Oh, Jim, you sweet boy you. Now get up there and please your wife.

Love this story so much!

Author's Response: hahaha...Now get up there and please you're wife.  You're too funny.  Reading through your review, I realize how completely random the pudding was. lol. Thanks so much for your awesome comments Yanana.

And that drives me crazy. For, as insensitive as I'm capable of being, I'm also capable and prone to being more in love with you than I've ever believed possible. Not to sound irritatingly corny, but I swear to God every time you get a little bigger, so does my heart. Um, that was a great line right there. As was the last exchange. You have a gift, lady.

Everything you write is gold, lady. There were so many good lines in this. All of his movements have to be whispers. "I kind of want to do it forever because it feels like rebellion." I hope you decide to write Jim again very soon. I love your Jim Halpert so much, lovefool. Great job, as always.

Author's Response: Thanks Yanana! You are too kind. I love writing Jim, so I'm sure it's not the last you see of me writing him. Thanks so much for being such an awesome writer and reviewer!

You are doing such an amazing job .. at killing me slowly. I love that Pam has already made her confession and instead of that fixing everything instantly like other fics, you're slowly giving her a little edge with each chapter. She's a little bit more forward in each one. It's great, and your characterizations feel like they're lifted from the script. Can't wait for the next chapter!

Author's Response: Ooops! Killing you was not my intention! The fanfic world needs you, Jim and Pam need you! ;D Thank you very much, I'm pleased with how things are going so far in the story. I don't want to force them into happening; the show was agonizing and made us wait, so I figure I can hop on that wagon, too. Thanks again for your feedback, it's much appreciated!!
