You are so great and supportive of my stuff (and you always pimp me, which I so appreciate. And that did not sound right at all.) that I feel guilty for not updating this sooner! But I can tell you that I've been writing all day and have several chapters done, so there'll be more updates later this afternoon and into tonight. And I will finish this thing tomorrow - have to get it posted before the finale airs, you know.

Wow. I just love this. I know that he has to be terrified to let go of Karen. For Jim, that's his security. He has feelings for her, and she openly has feelings for him. I know just how he feels. But he needs to take this chance. And I need to remind myself that they DON'T EXSIST!! Because the way you write, they do.

I totally agree with you that she's his security - not to discount his feelings for her or vice versa. But yeah, it's definitely not even close to what he feels for Pam.

Thank you for writing that David Wallace had called Jim earlier in the week. It hurts my heart to think that Jim may have called him after hearing that Michael was interviewing (which I really don't think he did, but who knows) I like your world much better. Do they have cookies here?

Honestly, I believe that's the way it went down; I really don't see Jim a) actively pursuing that job or b) attempting to undermine Michael in any way. Aside from that, I think the basketball game in Cocktails was for a reason - to establish a rapport between Jim and David. So I could really see him approaching Jim about the job and not vice versa.
My husband and I have been laughing about "Yessshhh" (and answering all questions in the affirmative that way) ever since "Traveling Salesmen." So to see that they've really incorporated that into Michael's lexicon thrills us both to death.
And yes, we do have cookies here - along with vodka soaked muffins. (Isn't that what they used to say they were handing out on the spoiler threads at TWoP?)

Okay, I just have to say that Hallelujah just breaks my heart. They played it at a good friend's funeral last fall and now, it's wow, much more powerful for me. Except when they play it in Shrek ;) Onto the next chapter.

Oh wow - I can't imagine hearing that song at such an emotional time anyway; it must've been heartbreaking. That's one of those songs that always, always gets me, too, and I'd never thought about it with regard to Jim and Pam before. But as I was writing, the lines that I quoted literally just popped into my head, so I ran with it from there.

MEMBER'S CHOICE - An alternate universe where Pam and Roy had a wedding, Pam goes to art school in New York, Dwight owns a restaurant and Jim works for a job in advertising that he likes a lot more and gets a lot more money at.
Basically? Dunder Mifflin never exists. And everyone meets under different circumstances.
The characters are pretty much the same -- personality-wise -- they just have different roles and work different jobs.
I really liked that Pam yelled at Jim. I'm glad she let him know how she felt and didn't try to hold back.

I love this. I was just sitting here cracking up reading it. I loved it when they were getting tickled at the whole situation. Because yeah fanfic!shower sex is, alot of times, kinda too perfect. TMI? Anyway, hope you write another chapter.

Jim and Pam, moments from each month, starting with May 2007. Just sort of filling in some blanks. Some fluff, a little angst here and there. Eventually I'll get through a whole year. Spoilers through "The Job," I guess. 10 To be honest, there wasn't anything that I didn't like about this story. It was very refreshing that they didn't just go out for dinner that first night and lived happily every after (although I like stories that go that way too). This was just very realistic and I like that it took some time for Jim to "come back." The whole "baby" thing cracked me up. Just very enjoyable, anxious for more!

I don't know why, usually I don't think I would get into a story that wasn't JAM, but I really like this and am rooting for Jim and Emily. Jem, if you will (sorry, I'm an 80's kid).
