Wow this was PERFECT, dead-on characterization for Dwight, Jim and Pam. Her fast thinking to deflect Dwight, her bone-deep knowledge of how to push his buttons, and her delight in Jim and baseball--I got nothing but love for all of this. Well done, well done!

Author's Response: Thank you! Yeah, Dwight-baiting and baseball- two of my favorite sports. Hee. I'm so glad you thought I got Dwight's characterization right; he's fun, but a little tricky to pin down without going overboard.

Aw. Pam keeping The Teapot as a centerpiece, still filled with his gifts...so sweet. So Pam. Like her keeping the yogurt lid medal. Who would imagine something so small and insignificant would be the turning point in a romance? And then the flat tire, and Pam offering to change it (hee!)...just such a sweet story. Thanks.

So now it's their baby? Wow. I hope this is just Karen's over-amped hormones, talking, cause she's turning way harsh. 

Although it's true that Jim is 50% responsible for this situation, and I'm glad he's stepping up to the plate. 

This whole scenario opens up all kinds of interesting ethical questions, though. I'm interested to see how they play out. You have me hooked.

Yes. This is the kind of detail I love, the kind you get from long association with a lover, the little things that make what would ordinarily be the most banal act in the world sensual and memorable.  

And then of course you abandon the little details and pull out all the stops:
