I love Sasha and Pam bonding over drawing. I like Toby being so sad, so miserable. Almost makes me wish Pam would go out with him. Toby needs something amazing to happen to him--Katy, maybe? :D In the meantime, I like him sharing some "wisdom" with Pam. And your last line is very touching. Thanks for this.
Author's Response: Wow, Katy? That's actually an intriguing thought! I may be blanking here but I don't remember Toby having an amazing sexual encounter with a hot girl. That might be just the ticket. Maybe after Roy and Karen get done with their acrobatics, you could take on Toby! Just a thought - in any case, thank you for reading and for your feedback.
Date: November 14, 2006 Title: Chapter 7: Oscar
Yay! This is EXACTLY what Pam needs -- a gay best friend!!! Perfect!! What a stroke of genius. I hope Greg Daniels picks up on this idea. It would be fabulous to have Oscar backing Pam up and rooting for her and Jim. Thanks for writing this.
Author's Response: And what's better than one gay friend? Two! I hope Oscar returns from Europe soon because Pam is gonna have to step it up a notch to compete with Karen and those exotic good looks. Thanks NEJam!
Date: December 14, 2006 Title: Chapter 9: Darryl
Yay, Darryl! You go, baby! I love Darryl. So down-to-earth. So real. The perfect foil for everyone on the fourth floor. And I love how he's looking out for his buddy Roy. I also love how observant he is (watching Pam watching Jim's car leave the lot, etc). You really made him come alive, as a real character. Congratulations.
Author's Response:
I love Darryl too! Down to earth -yes! ("Mike, I am not having fire eaters in a paper warehouse...") So glad he saved the day on the episode last night as well! I figured he'd get sick of Roy wasting his time and step in at some point. Thanks NEJ!
This picks up pre-merger and is spoiler free, a bit AU as well. I began this back in October (maybe even September), and obviously the show has deviated quite a bit from what I speculated here.
This begins with angst, but there is a great deal of fluff, steam, smut, and silly...for several, several chapters. My idea was to go beyond the happy ending, so to speak.

I *adore* Oscar's reaction. Fabulous. Totally in character.
And Pam blackmailing Angela? Brilliant. And so perceptive of Pam to realize how Angela feels about Roy. Heh heh heh.
Date: December 15, 2006 Title: Chapter 17: Chapter 17
Her best friend Jim was still there somewhere beneath the surface, but right now, the man in him was staring down at her
*dissolving*
Not just erotic, but ROMANTIC. Oooo.
Date: December 15, 2006 Title: Chapter 24: Chapter 24
God. You are turning me into GOO.
I tried to review this. I owe it to you, honestly, for this fine work. But I can't. Maybe I can come back later, when my brain starts working again, and say something coherent.
But this chapter, and all the ones before it....guh.
You have written the sexiest Jim EVAH, girl.

giving her a casual smile as if he hadn’t trailed his tongue down her belly two hours earlier.
*zing!!!!* I love it when you do that....

I’ll do anything you want me to. Just keep looking at me that way. And take your shirt off.
Oh YETH. Jim with no shirt. Yes yes yes. Mmmm. Can't wait for the next chapter...
Author's Response: I'm such a shirtless Jim whore, I swear. Got your email by the way, and you are more than welcome to Jonathan! :o)
Date: October 30, 2006 Title: Chapter 22: Chapter 22
Snow Patrol’s “Chasing Cars” filled the background, candles flickering and casting shadows on the wall.
YESSSSSS!!! I write JamFic with this song playing. Yes!!!
Thank you for this very sweet scene. :)
Date: October 16, 2006 Title: Chapter 17: Chapter 17
“Jim.” It was a whisper, a gasp. He knew without asking why she’d said his name, simply whispered back, not breaking his rhythm, “I know.”
Oh, you DEVIL! Putting Han Solo's line in Jim Halpert's mouth! Sent shivers down my spine, as well as,
“You have no idea….” His eyes swept her body, then met her gaze, his fingers brushing her cheek.
Oooo! Delicious! Running Jim's words in the Casino Night kiss back again, in a wholly different context! Very clever.
I would say only this, in the spirit of possible improvement: Jim talks too much. I see this in a lot of fanfic--women talk a lot, talk about their feelings, etc. The men they write wind up behaving the same way, but in real life not even Jim Halpert would be this articulate in the grip of raging lust. I like it that you made him growl now and then, and his voice was gutteral at the end.
More smut, please.
Author's Response:
I'm glad you liked it! And I see what you're saying about Jim talking a lot; you're right to point out that most men would be more reticient. I think I like just picturing what he'd say if he did - and more succinctly, if he could.
Thanks for the thoughtful review!
Date: October 16, 2006 Title: Chapter 18: Chapter 18
End it here!!!! Right here! This is perfect!! The two of them cuddled up together, naked, thinking up a prank on someone. It is SO JAM! One more word would be too much. I like to think they'll spend the rest of their lives just like this...plotting mischief and making love.
Author's Response: I'm sure you're right, but I gotta take it farther - if for no other reason than to satisfy my own need for happy Jim/Pam interaction, in light of the zilch factor on the show right now. Thanks for the review!
Perhaps, even though she hates to put it into words so bluntly, perhaps Michael is just better than nothing. Jan before Casino Night.

Woohoo! Doesn't sound much like Pam, but definitely sounds like Jim!
Author's Response:
I don't know - maybe it is Pam. Maybe Pam's going to shock the hell out of all of us when she's in the same room with Jim again.
I guess we'll have to wait and see!!!

I wish I could write dialogue that flowed this easily. Well done. I love the "Yeah. I need you to look up." What a great gotcha moment!
Author's Response: Aw, thank you so much! I usually try to avoid this much dialogue. Glad you enjoyed it:)

EXCELLENT! Ten stars. Absolutely.
I usually don't like stories that backtrack the characters when they were younger than series, but this was so well done I liked it despite myself. You have positively NAILED Jim and Pam, and even Roy. I love this line:
"He had grown eight inches since the summer, and sometimes his arms and legs still felt like they were controlled off site by someone who was not him."
That is so adolescent-boy. Jim's friends are dead-on, as well.
And this exchange is perfect:
"But I, for one, am glad we still feel close enough to laugh about it together. Some relationships wouldn't survive such an incident."
"Yes," Pam agreed, going with the joke, not stopping to wonder why she suddenly felt so happy, "it could have totally ruined our non-existent relationship. Thank god we worked through it."
I have no suggestions for improvement; it needs no improvement. Brava, brava, brava.
More? :D
Author's Response:
Wow.[/Jim] Thank you so much, I think your review has made my night:)
I am so glad you liked it, and found the characters, er, in character. I was a little worried that Roy might seem overly concerned, but then decided that even Roy would have to realize the depths of his screw-up if he left a girl behind on the FIRST DATE.
Thank you again for such a great, encouraging review:)

And totally worth it.
Ye gods. This is sheer poetry. Eleven on a scale of ten.

Dropping a manila envelope with panties on a guy's lap....
Boy, that just takes my breath away. Good God. What a brilliant touch.
Author's Response:
Hee! Thanks!
Obviously, she needed to get her underwear to him, and couldn't just hand them to him with everyone watching. So I had to think of something close at hand and not too attention-getting.
Date: October 13, 2006 Title: Chapter 2: Restaurant
slid his left hand under her skirt and started rubbing gentle circles on the inside of her thigh.
Gulp. Is it hot in here, or is it just me? Wonderful image. Just EXACTLY the sort of thing a playful Jim Halpert would do. Oh my yes.
Well done.
Author's Response:
*big sigh of relief*
The characterization was my biggest worry. Bodies in motion could be anybody, so I was really trying to establish them as much as I could around the explicit bits.
Thanks!
Date: October 13, 2006 Title: Chapter 3: Living Room
Oh. My
Handcuffs.
Thank you.
Author's Response: Yeah. Apparently, there was a handcuff-shaped hole in the Jam smut universe, so I needed to give it a try.
Date: October 13, 2006 Title: Chapter 4: Bedroom
A Jim striptease. Omigod. I...oh my....'scuse me while I fetch my smelling salts. Lord have mercy.
One word of advice, based on experience: handcuffs should ALWAYS be padded for events like this. In the throes of passion, Pam would be tossing herself over the headboard and wouldn't feel a thing, but the edges of the metal cuffs can do serious damage to the delicate tendons of the wrist--and let's not forget that Pam uses a keyboard for a living. It would be a nice (and loving) touch for Jim to make sure her hands are well padded before locking them to the headboard.
Now I'm going to go back and reread this. O my goodness.
Thanks.
Author's Response: This is clearly a YMMV point. The only padded cuffs I've ever seen have been those silly novelty things, which just aren't in the same league as basic, police-standard handcuffs. (And the only padding that might stay independent of the cuffs are athletic sweat bands, which frankly = not sexy.) If you keep them loose enough, all the pressure is on the bones at the base of the hand, so very little risk of soft-tissue damage. Plus, padded cuffs don't result in the red grooves that may or may not be gone by the time you get to work the next day - another integral part of the experience. But thank you for the review!
Sorry about the format issues. I believe they are resolved. This is a spec script. Jim brings donuts to the office, no jellies and one pink with sprinkles. Sometime in Season Two.

OH my goodness. Yes. Loved the finger sucking. SO erotic. :D The very idea of rendering a man as glib as Jim speechless is mind blowing.
Thank you. Must go fan self now.
Author's Response: I kind of figured we'd all like to render Jim speechless...if only vicariously. Glad you found it erotic - because other than that, there's absolutely no justification for this silly thing. Thanks!
Inspired by something I noticed about the "Casino Night" kiss.
