I really like the detail about Jim still being a bit unsure about jumping into something with Pam, not fully trusting that Pam really loves him -- that idea hasn't been explored much before.
And Pam & Jim in Paris? Just. Wow.

Of course French Hens would be about kissing. I've got to say - this chapter had a much different feel to it until I read some responses to the discussion about Jim and how long it might take him to propose. I liked the idea of him being kinda wary - and Pam stepping up. I'm glad you liked it too!
The Olympic Doves!!! OMG, that is so great! That helps ease the pain over the awkward confrontation with Karen. A little anyway. Glad I took a minute to re-read French Hens first!

You've hit on the perfect balance with the 'confrontation' between Pam & Jim -- this conversation has been imagined and written so many times, it is difficult to find a new way to play it out. I'm happy to see Pam taking the leap here, but she is still very true to character, still focused on her fear, but finally breaking through it anyway. I also like how this conversation provides some resolution before they kiss, but without being overly analytical and rehashing the past.
So glad you posted on TWoP or I would have missed this chapter of angsty goodness. Love the Shrek reference!
This line is fan-freaking-tastic: real life is decidedly more messy than fairy tales -- and I really liked how your wrote the Pam-Karen confrontation without the overly romanticized cliches.
And of course, I cannot freaking wait for the next chapter. Obviously.
