“Whoa! And Beesly’s back in the game ladies and gentlemen,” Jim said laughing.

Who better to raise a perfect girl than Jim Halpert? ;-)

This was wonderful and happy, as always. Manicure teasing and ANTM and parenting insecurities: one stop shopping for a happy Jim and Pam future that's a perfect antidote to the current Angst Hiatus.

There are so many great lines in this story, I would have to quote the whole thing back to show you my favourites. If I had to pick, I would say that I especially enjoyed how Jim is constantly searching for ways to move forward, even if he doesn't really connect, because at least it's not backwards.

My God. This:  with someone who hasn’t seen him leak until he’s empty. (Hands on backs and all that.) totally broke my heart.

And this: she felt like all of the air had been let out of her and she wondered if Bob Vance had that sort of air pump.

Holy cow! So many great lines.

He watches them line up, one after another, like days and has to stop for a moment before he can start on his ties.

I had to stop for a moment, too, because I felt this so strongly.

Just eats it while standing at the kitchen counter, staring at the doors to the cabinets.

This is such a great image, I can almost hear him chewing.

It's with Karen that for the first time Jim feels like a grown-up. Something about having her in his life makes wearing a suit and tie feel less like playing pretend, makes fucking with Dwight seem silly, makes three years of pining after an engaged woman seem bizarre and melodramatic. 

I knew I was in for a treat, and you did not disappoint. You're aces!

This is so, so sweet. I love Christmas! My favourite parts were the All In card, the super lovely mistletoe kiss and going through the art kit. Well done!

So, I really like the concept of this, and you're definitely on your way. I believe that if you work really hard at maintaining the characters as we understand them, you can slot them into any situation (see Nomadshan's Hope).  Finding their voices is key, I think, to making AU believable. I'm happy to help in any way I can, although I have no formal training as a writer, so... whatever that's worth. It's a great start and I'm interested in reading more. My heart skipped a little beat when I realized the potential for Jim finding his way back to Pam and I hope to see how that works out. Feel free to contact me by email if you wish... or not.
