Emily...you really need to grace us with your presence more often.  This was pretty spectacular.  It's not often that I care to go back to that time when everything was just so damn angsty, but this was beautiful.  I can so imagine that things might've happened this way.  Jim's ache seems palpable.  Loved it.

Author's Response: oh, LoveFool, thank you so much! to be honest, what is happening now between them is not as easy to write. s2 had blanks to fill in, which makes it fun. but painful. thank you for the feedback!

Summary: "Now she's in a closet, and he's in hot water with the new boss, and the worst part is there's a new girl in Pam's chair, and Pam keeps calling and crying a little on the phone and he can't fix any of it."

Jim's point of view during "The Michael Scott Paper Company."

Everything about that was perfect.  From the fun of that "that's my boyfriend" exchange that reminded me so much of ("is the magic over?" scene from season 4) to the tinge of angst in those photos they had of one another.  Most of all I loved how hopeful this all was...and your ending was all kinds of awesome.

Author's Response: Thanks LoveFool! I had fun with that exchange, but then I just about cut it all out and did it completely differently. And I love me some angst. May have to go wallow in it soon. ;) I\'m glad you liked this, thanks so much for letting me know!

::sigh:: I love the idea of Jim and Pam sitting in the office and seeing how their baby is developing...I could actually see this playing out on the show, too.

You've created such intimacy with this story. I love it.

Oh this is blissfully romantic. I love the time you took with this chapter, things didn't feel rushed at all.  You just let them savor one another and threw in that little bit of tension with him leaving...ugh, loved it.  Can't wait for the next.

Author's Response: I\'m glad it didn\'t feel rushed, thanks for saying that! That is always, always one of the hardest things to do, because when you\'re typing out a chapter, of course it doesn\'t feel rushed to you when it takes you hours to write it... Even with my read-through before I post it, I read it too fast so who knows. But, anyway, yeah glad you said that, haha. Thanks for the review. =)

Ok, I just have to tell you that I think this might be the most...plausible, if that's the right word - explanation for how FNB really came to fruition.  All the little changes that Pam made on the show that were obvious...her hair, her clothes...all "coincidentally" because she was in love. There's a line you have here as he's explaining all the places he wants to take her.  She says something like "You're going to be so good to me."...As soon as I read it I was like YES, good to you and for you, Pam.  Honestly, what a revelation this chapter was.

And this:  But he wouldn't let go of her long enough to undress. He didn't think they would get to that point so soon, and he wanted to remember touching her innocently...

Just wow.  I adore this.  Make haste, lady. :-)

Author's Response: I really love the idea that being in love finally nudged all of FNB into place. I\'m glad that on the show Pam was just getting her confidence up, being more honest and everything, and that she was going to be okay without Jim and he shows up at the last minute. \"Everything\'s going to be totally--\" \"Pam?\" I love it! Thanks for the review. =)

LOL. Is that supposed to be up for interpretation? If so...I'm going with "yes" meaning PREGNANT. ;-) Because that's what I want for them...whether it makes sense or not. haha!  Thanks so much for this story. It was GREAT. I thought your Jim and Pam here were totally and completely realistic.

Author's Response: You & your review will have a cameo in the a/n of the next chapter, LoveFool! Thanks for the nice review. =)

That was both adorable and sexy as hell. I think the choices you made here were spot on and believable.  First off, you managed to do something that few can do -- and that's keep Jim and Pam, Jim and Pam even when they're having uber hot sex.  They're still saying things Jim and Pam would say.  Also, the backstory you've built for Pam here is completely believable.

This story is a lot of fun! I can't wait for the next installment!

Beautiful. Absolutely gorgeous.  I love the imagery you've created here of them making their own warmth in this little cocoon. The details about the baby being possessive already and where they'll find themselves next year...and especially the last scene in the kitchen with Jim trying to find ways for them to be warm and Pam knowing he won't sleep...ugh. Just beautiful.

As someone who adores fluff, I will tell you there's a time and a place for everything especially if it's well written - and this is well written.  I wouldn't want to see it happen on the show and I don't think we ever would...but that's what fanfic is for to explore all these other things...GREAT writing.

hehhee. I love the idea of that morning being "the" morning.  And what was Pam going to say? That she forgot her pills...freaking Michael cut her off with the horn! lol. Very nice morning lovin'. ;-)

Author's Response: Yeah, I tried to think of a canon scenario that I could use.  It had to have happened sometime around the MSPC arc and with Pam running around at such crazy hours, and dealing with both new job responsibilities, and reigning in Michael and Ryan, it's not impossible to think that somewhere there could have been a contraceptive slip up.
