A snowstorm hits Scranton in February 2010. Someone had to go there, so I did.I can't believe it's taken me 24 hours to find this second chapter! But I'm SO glad I did and you had perfect timing. It's been a loooong week already and today was a long day - this helps.
First things first -- Can I ask how you do this: keep your characters extremely calm while evoking a whole freaking mass of nerves in the reader? lol. Because I was nervous the whole time....and while Jim and Pam started to realize the gravity of the situation as time went on, they were still much cooler than I was!
Coming from So Cali, I can't believe that Jim was out there shoveling for 3 hours and then went BACK out at the end. Wow.
I have a feeling I know where this is going and they're about to start panicking soon when they realize it too. Oh man...this is getting good.

Oh dear...as soon as he said "it's our baby's first hat" -- IMMEDIATE TEARS. Like I'm not sure where they came from, but you had me so completely wrapped up in this that as soon as he said that I was gone.
Like I said, you are the perfect person to write this. The level of detail and specificity with all the instructions from the doctor completely drew me in and made me think - crap - this is real. I have to think that's exactly what I should have been feeling as Jim was hearing the news.
I also thought in terms of "real" -- the moment Jim had in the bathroom was spectacular.
I enjoyed your first two chapters, but in terms of voice I thought you really hit your stride here. Brava, lady! I can't wait for the next installment. Please hurry!
Oh Jazz...this was SO GOOD! So many moments were just masterful here...first of all - first time I've ever read about the placenta. I learned so much. ;-) This fic ought to be part of TLC's line up! On a serious note though, when Pam began bleeding and Jim started to panic...I'm telling you my heart was racing. You SUCKED ME IN totally to the drama of that moment.
Then, when he had that single moment when he realized everything was ok and started to cry. OMG, I misted up too! It was instantaneous.
Great, great job. I'm so happy you're doing an epilogue!

Wow. You effing rock my world...and that is not eloquent or appropriate at all. You had me at him finding the curviest? Screwiest? pasta he could find. That is love right there. You're so good (and always have been) at capturing the little ways Jim loved/loves her. The little things he did along the way -- in the vain of knowing about Mixed Berry. It's all those little things that always added up to such a BIG deal.

I've always had a very emotional response to Jim's rejection and subsequent lack of closure. I think it's only by knowing that last week's baby episode happened and went well that I could get back here. I'm glad the first person worked for you - not something I've done much of, but it's a way I felt I could get closer to where he was, if that makes sense Thanks, lovefool.

And don't think that "six weeks" comment in the deleted scene got by this girl!It's been a few weeks since I've read or reviewed any fanfic...this was QUITE delightful my dear. I loved how totally in love Pam is, and I LOVE that Jim pays the phone bill -- talk about romance! I'm being facetious, but NOT. lol. Can't wait for the next installment!

Wow, this absolutely reads like Season 2 canon. Jim could not have given Pam a better birthday present back then. Very believable and true to character.

But I had the ----- thing done and on the stove, and then, for no apparent reason, I'm watching "Broke, " and I hear Pam say, "You blame the 30-year old woman who got in the passenger seat ...".
