I like that it looks like this isn't so much a Pam/Ryan story, or a Pam/Jim story. I like that it looks like it's a Pam story.

Wow, I REALLY loved this chapter! I mean, you had me laughing out loud with Karen and Pam crawling along the floor spying on the guys playing "hide and seek" and then you had that intense scene with Jim and Pam in that closet!
It's a roller coast ride of emotion! I LOVE IT!

Basically? Dunder Mifflin never exists. And everyone meets under different circumstances.
The characters are pretty much the same -- personality-wise -- they just have different roles and work different jobs.

I don't know if it's the AU in the midst of all the post "The Job" stories, or what... But I'm REALLY enjoying this! I like that you have kept true to Dwight kookiness, but you haven't made him quite so annoying...

As a New Yorker though, just wanted to say something on the lingo. We never refer to any distance as miles. We say everything in blocks or neighborhoods. So, since a couple of miles is around 30 blocks or so, we wouldn't refer to that in blocks, we would say "this great restaurant in Soho" (or the Village, or the Lower East Side, etc...)
Do I make any sense? Sorry, just wanted to throw in my New York lingo lesson... :) Anyway questions about the city, feel free to ask!
Yes, that makes perfect sense. :) I'll try and use blocks from now on (since I know nothing of New York City neighborhoods). Being from the Midwest, I automatically refer to everything in miles, haha.

I decided to write a sequel to Charcoal & Watercolors !!!!
The story picks up right about where Charcoal & Watercolors left off -- Jim and Pam's wedding. Then goes from there into their future. Jim still works at the advertising company and Pam works (exclusively) at a publishing company where she is an illustrator of children's stories.
I added a few more characters ;) and am planning on keeping almost all of the characters from the previous story.

Author's Response: I was really sad when C&W ended too. I didn't think that I would be, but a couple of days after I had finished it I was just left with this feeling like, "Aw man, I ended that way too soon." So the only way to go with that one was a sequel! :)

I'm enjoying this story. I'm a musical buff (i work in the theater industry...) so I know Wicked well. Funny tidbit, Dancing Through Life is my most played song on my ipod and walking through Times Square while listening to it one day, Norbert Leo Butz(Fiyero) walked next to me for like four blocks! Took everything I had not to stop him!
