He took it from her fingers and rolled it between his.
“Yes,” he finally said. “This is it. This is my favorite color.”
Oh my... That is so... I just... AW!!! I LOVE it! So unexpected, but so obvious that it was what Jim had been planning when he'd asked her! I love it! I can't wait to hear what she says to the chat room people!
Pam takes care of Jim after he'd been hit by Roy. Takes place after "Cocktails".
10 And as Pam felt the tears begin to dry on her cheeks, she heard Jim say, "Hey..." She looked up at his bruised face, and felt a lump form in her throat again. "Thanks for fixing me."
And I'm crying. That is one of, if not the, best ending lines I've see. (And I've read my share of fic... in fact I've read many people's shares of fic...)

MEMBER'S CHOICE - It's Michael's Birthday. Pam remembers. It's a whole lot different than it was just a year ago.10 Yeah, you're definatly about to make me cry in the middle of the coffee shop I'm sitting in while trying to do work. Wow. That was gorgeous. (And will teach me to read fic in public).
More specifically, the last line is done so well and the theme of Jim seeming oblivious is so real. You did an amazing job with the first person and really making it Pam's voice!
At least I was in my apartment by myself. Crying is good for you though - and hey maybe someone will feel bad and buy you a free coffee!!
Jim isn't as oblivious as Pam thinks he is - obviously. I'm sure soon I'll make up for it in another fic...or two...
10 So, I feel like the humane thing at the end of this chapter is to feel bad for Karen.

Is it cruel to be really excited about her finding her boyfriend kissing the woman she knows he really loves? Oh, yeah, that's my answer to your question, by the way. Carnage please! Just because we know the punchline doesn't mean Karen does!
Sometimes things happen in life that make people stop and wonder what it is they really want. The truth can be painful, or it can be exhilarating. Story starts in the present but ventures off into AU.
10 That was... wow. Well, first the obvious -- that was GUT WRENCHINGLY PAINFUL. Seriously, ouch! But, it was also really well done! I hope you're still planning on continuing this. You're right, it does make for agood standalone story, but I would love to see what you're going to do with it otherwise!

10 When she gets up to cover her husband with a blanket she’s struck by how young he looks, sleeping soundly. She watches him for a few moments and when he starts to cry in his sleep she isn’t sure what to do. She calls out his name softly and she’s sure he calls out the name “Pam” in a strangled plea.
Good God is that just beautiful and sad. Wow. My heart just broke a little bit there.
Jim gets fussy and Pam gets fed up.
Spoilers through The Negotiation.
“Crap,” she says.
He follows her gaze and lets out a chuckle.
“We’ve got a bit of a mess to clean up,” he says.
“Yeah,” she says. “But it’s going to be worth it.”
NICE ending! Again, you winning me over with your metaphors. In case my love for this didn't break through your stupor;-)... LOVED it! And I'm especially happy about the ending which was a lovely new treat!!!
So... now... I hate to pry.... but T&C8? Hmm?

Member's Choice - “My father died, so I’ll need a few days.” She explained in an unaffected sounding voice that surprised even herself. The three other parties in the room were stunned into silence. Jim spoke first. “Jesus, Pam…” She stood with her back to him and addressed Michael as if Jim had not made a sound…as if Jim did not exist. It was the only way.
10 So, just sat down and caught up with this whole story this morning. Going through, really involved, really enjoying it. Then I get to this chapter to and see that you used "Hey There Delilah".
And you rock my world.
I get so excited when authors throw great songs tastefully into a story (which seems to be quite frequent in this fandom!), and this song is just SO perfect. (And I'll spare you my 'Plain White T's aren't getting as much attention as they should be' rant, which is really irrelevant because this song is so different from anything else that they do.)
ANYWAY! Really excited to see where this story goes! Also, Pam's "Help me" broke my heart in that painfully beautiful kinda way. Just great!
10 Oh MAN! Very nicely done! I don't think I have words for the ending.... But Jim and Pam going on about Kelly and Ryan's dysfunctional relationship in the breakroom was irony at its finest. Lovely! But what I really needed to comment on was this--

Whoa. Happened to a friend freshman year. Girl drunkenly thought that the fish might want some Everclear. Poor, poor Fishy...
No matter how much this couple is perfect for each other, they are bound to have flaws. Jim and Pam head to marriage counseling, and learn to deal with their issues in a semi adult manner.

It's the night before Jim's wedding and the person he expects to ruin it all hasn't shown up yet...so he decides to go and find her...fluffish...no spoilers.
I need to say something more elegant than 'Yay!'... Yeah, not happening. I especially loved these two lines though--
But it’s not as bad as if you were, say, kissing her. Ooops, now you’re kissing her
And...
But then again you’re Jim Halpert, and you’re in love with Pam Beesly, and anything you do to deny it is just going to come back and bite you in the ass.
So SO good! I especially love the last line because it just gets to the inevitability of this whole relationship. Yes, they're stuck in this vicious circle of who can be stubborn longest, but everyone involved (read: get a clue, Karen) knows that someone's going give in in the end. Awesome. Very nicely done!
10 I absolutely loved this story. I read it quickly this morning and have been thinking about it all day. 'Cute' doesn't seem like a strong enough word to describe it, but it's just an adorably cute story! While I'd guessed the outcome before the end, I did have to go back and reread Pam's reaction to Jim's initial description of his camp experience. I really loved that you were able to write it in a way that I, like Jim, missed the signs at first. SO great!!!

This is an idea I've had for a long time. It is inspired by the very end of the Six Feet Under series finale (hence the title), and it seems that the 55 word style would be perfect for it. Each chapter will focus on a different Office character. 20 chapters are planned.

10 I absolutely love this series, but I've got to say, I'm starting to get a little apprehensive whenever you post a new chapter! They're making me increasingly tearful as time goes on and I know it'll only get worse... Still beautifully done, just kinda scary.
