This entire story is well written, but I wanted to comment on this chapter in particular. Years ago I also lost my father unexpectedly and what Jim feels and goes through is really similar to what I felt and went through. Thank you for putting grief into words so eloquently.

I love this story, especially the shirtless scene. So sweet, and obviously from what I've seen of others comments, you hit a chord with that idea.
Summary: He seems almost cautious, dreadful, as he opens his eyes. Like he still thinks I'm a figment of imagination, or an apparition. At this point I'm not sure I'm not. I feel pretty translucent.

I love all of your stories but Sin Aesthetics and this one most of all. I love the conversations between Jim and Pam when she wakes up. Having her waving bye from Bearsley to Jim breaks my heart. So Sweet!

I won't give you a hard time about the breaking of the cherished teapot.
