This story is just so adorable and wonderful. I love how you've captured the 40's (not that I lived through them). I especially loved how Jim noticed the straw thing and that Pam even asked him how he knew. Very cute.
Awww...I think this is my favorite chapter yet. Absolutely adorable. I am amazed that you can take current Jim & Pam, put them back in this time period and still make the friendly banter and relationship seem real. Wonderful.

The rain outside is drumming on the roof of her car and she loves it, hates it, doesn’t understand what’s happening but god, it feels good to do something unexpected.9 That was beautiful and one of the best written stories I've read here. Wonderful job.

I love how Jim reacted(in his head) to Pam in a bikini. This line was great:
