Beautiful.  I can see Pam being shocked and coming off her adreniline high after she goes to cool her feet.  I'm glad she doesn't regret what she said...very important for FNB.

Author's Response:

thanks, flamingosinparadise!  I don't think she will regret it - even if the initial response isn't want we want...  Gosh, is it Thursday yet????

Thanks for the review - you rock!

Wow...this gave me chills...honest chills.  Love that Pam & Jim made the top couples list.  Haha...weird to think that this will actually "air" at some point.  Wonderful way to tell how everyone ended up (and love that Jim proposed on the roof).

Wow...amazing and so perfect.  I love that the cameraman comforted her first and then Jim came back.  And of course she couldn't stop crying.  Perfect, just perfect.  Oh and love Jim recalling past stuff...amazing.

Author's Response:

I can't help but imagine that the cameramen are so pro-Jim and Pam -- don't you think?  How could they not be?

And the crying...oh, the crying!  Someone took a (veiled) shot at me (and other fanfic writers, I'm sure) shortly after season two ended, saying that just because Pam cried once (in "Boys and Girls" - the blogger apparently forgot the pilot episode), that did "not a crier make" (or something along those lines).  She was totally justified in asserting that interpretation, as we really didn't have concrete evidence to the contrary about Pam.

But Pam's head-in-hands crying during "Back From Vacation" sealed the deal for me - she is totally a crier!  Then to have her turn back to the camera after Jim asked her out in the finale, tears in her eyes as she barely managed to ask, "What was the question?"

....Totally vindicating.

IMHO, being overly emotional doesn't make a woman weak; it makes her fucking brave -- and this goes for Pam.  So yeah, this story stemmed from my hope that Jim would see her crying, so he'd know how real it truly was.

Anyhoo (a looooong tangent later!) - thank you for reviewing!

AHH!!  You leave it there?  Just for that : yYou are evil, like a hobbit.

I loved this line:

"that her best friend had somewhere along the line morphed into the fucking man of her dreams."

And loved that Pam had a Dundies picture framed and that Jim noticed.  Very cute.

(And nice job sticking Jonathon in there)

Author's Response:

Hee, I promise - I'll cover all the details (as I'm incapable of being succinct, hee).

Glad you liked the Jonathan shout-out.  I am ridiculously enamored with the idea of Scott Foley as Jim's brother....

Thanks for reviewing!

Wonderful, as always.  I love when Jim realizes that Pam nervous too...just how he doesn't think she should be because it's PAM and this is all he's wanted.  And Jim's thoughts at the end about how can't Pam realize this is it for him.  I just love all those little moment in here.

Author's Response:

Eee, thank you!  I can't wait to see all the little moments next season (because that finale really convinced me that we WILL see them); it's just so much fun to contemplate (and especially to write about)!

Thanks again!

I love happy Jim & Pam.  Their watching of the couple was so them.  I really like how Jim told Pam about the problems with him and Karen.  Just lovely.

Author's Response:

I love them, too - I really think the show will be even better once they're together.  There'll be an absence of unresolved sesxual tension, sure, but they'll be so freaking adorable together....sigh.

Thanks for reviewing!

Oh Pam, I love that she invited Jim back to her apartment when he was debating if he could do the same.  And loved reading their kiss...you have such a wonderful way of writing the descriptions & feelings.  Looking forward to more!

Author's Response:

Thank you so much - glad you liked those parts! I just thought those were the kind of moments that'd give them pause, you know?

Thanks again!

Absolutely lovely.  Loved Jim's thought about Pam being more than just a girlfriend.  And you might be slightly cruel to leaving this where you did!!

P.S. loved the hussy shoutout.

Author's Response: Hee hee - wait till you see where the next chapter leaves off, LOL.  (I'm evil, like a hobbit!)  Glad you liked the hussy shoutout -- I just cannot resist them sometimes!

You end it there!  You are cruel!  How can you do that??  Ummm....this was hot and amazing and please write more soon.

Author's Response:

Honestly?  Really?  Because I find the idea of writing a full-on sex scene somehow less daunting than writing in the...you know, other stuff.  :o)  (So lame, but it's really kind of true....)

Thank you so much for reviewing!

Beautiful.  I love that this is what Jim had in mind when he said "a date".  So simple and yet so them.  And Pam's line about it being "a long year"...perfect.  It's been a long year for all of us but the payoff is amazing.

This gave me happy chills.  I love this version of what went through Jim's mind in those moments, that it was Pam and the people from DM; not some high and mighty job.  (and Kelly leaving Andy for Ryan made me laugh...never a functional relationship with those two).  Well done.

I love it.  It's ok that it's wandering (it wasn't hard to read) because I am sure that's what was really going through her head after.  I love how she's crying for happiness and how she knows how honest she was being all day.  Absolutely lovely.
