10 You know, for having difficulty, you really seem to have triumphed here. The mood is perfect. Karen's inner monologue (and really, nearly inner dialogue - without being schizophrenic) is perfect. Nothing really more that needs to be said.
"She looks away, and gives the start button on the copy machine a good smack as she wonders why she feels guilty spying on the man she’s sleeping with comfort another woman."10 I've read this before, maybe a couple of times (though my brain doesn't work that well with remembering details like that) and it felt like a kick in the junk then, and it still feels like a kick in the junk now. You really make us feel for Karen here (easy for me, since I like her, harder for others who don't). Well done.
Ryan kind of wishes Jim had stayed in Stamford. Seating arrangements make an already odd situation even weirder. A sprinkling of Jam with Ryan and Kelly on the side.
9 Any fic with poor Ryan being tortured by Kelly and others is alright in my book.

9 Oookaaayyy..... (which was my response to a couple of the segment punchlines). I think everyone else has said pretty much what I want to say about this, so I'll leave it at that.
9 I'm not sure what to say about this. The doomed grasping for more that Karen is doing here just feels really tangible (if not quite gelling with how she is portrayed on screen). I'm not sure if I can accurately convey in words how I feel about this fic. Gritty.

Jim and Karen take a trip to Montreal. Jim POV. First time fanfic period, so, you know, excuse the suckage. 10 This kicked serious ass. Lots of ambiguity and grey area makes for a great fic, especially when we can't really tell what's going to happen, if Karen wins, or Jim goes nuts or anything like that. And you actually know your French and Montreal, which is impressive (either that or you're very good at faking it) - I'm Canadian, I took French in school through to grade 10 and I can't get the hang of it at all.

Nobody's business but the people involved. Working together day after day, it's hard not to bring emotions into it. There's always something hiding beneath the surface. Many, many pairings.10 So much of this fic was great. I can't comment on it all, so I'll just highlight one little thing that almost made me vomit... This is a Karen focused stream of conscious/pov on all things developing in Scranton... contains mild spoilers through The Convict. Since it is Karen centered right now it is mostly Jim/Karen focused, but clearly Pam is there too and will likely play a larger role in the future.
10 Wow this is deep. I think I read it before, or just skimmed it or something, but every little thing about this isolated, slightly dark Karen seems to ring true. Your writing style is almost tactile, if that makes any sense at all, like it's touching the mood with its fingers.
Looking at that comment now, it would appear that I am high.
