Okay, I'm taking the adjustment of the bodice on Pam as a personal shout out as I had commented that the bodice on that dress wouldn't do good things for Pam's "blessed, womanly chest area". Hee!

This chapter was so much fun. It was like seeing all the deleted scenes from the first story! The soundtrack, as always, great, btw. But back to the story, I liked Pam examining all these moments from her past with Jim. I adored the story about the nickname and that Jim messaged Angela and Kelly just to make her smile. I loved that moment of Jim in the elevator, where he made this admission, yet didn't and their encounter on the train platform made this huge dorky grin spread across my face. I liked hearing about Pam's mental shift from thinking just of herself, to thinking like a couple and the beautiful display for Valentine's, the fact that Jim just did it because he wanted to putting that last piece in the puzze for her. And I loved how you handled it in the past chapters, but again, Pam's grieving Roy's marriage, grieving ths relationship that she had spent so much of her life on, but that was never as real as she had once though. Jim comforting her, not understanding but comforting her anyway, really lovely. And that last memory of Jim just needing Pam to say that she was in it just as deep, another great touch on Jim. I so love seeing all these moments and I wish we could get a chapter of Jim doing the same, though that would probably be repetitive or something :) Sorry, I'm greedy.

Again, you capture their relationship in all these small AND big moments, their humor(the hand on JIm's ass had me laughing out loud), and ultimately, their love. The quiet moment at the end really illustrated that all in a simple "I love you" and a touch of a forehead.

Next chapter!

Author's Response: Yes, yes, yes the shoutout and credit is all yours and I\'m sorry I forgot to mention you in the endnotes! I was partial to both dresses, and even though our Pam went with dress #2, your POV contined to ring in my ears and I had to make it right. Ha-ha.

I\'m glad you enjoyed this chapter and the \"deleted scenes\" from Indie Rock. Oh, what a fun trip down memory lane.

Yay! I feel weirdly honored to be in your Author's Note! Oh, such a dork.

I did enjoy seeing this from Jim's perspective, though it's interesting comparing the two. Like from Pam's, it's all these gestures and moments that added up to making Pam love Jim and want to marry him. And from Jim's POV, it's moments, yes, but it's moments where he's examining his own gestures, not Pam's, and the way his love for her grew and it showed in his actions and in Pam's reactions (you know, aside from the Xmas tree).I really liked seeing Jim, someone new to love and long term relationships and how he fell so hard so quickly and that yes, it very much began with a "what the hell" and I knda love that too. Jim mocking himself for wanting to put Starbucks and Facebook in his vows was great, especially when you consider Pam worrying so much that she would be topped by the journalism major. I really enjoyed Jim's view on Pam's birthday, when they argued and how all he wanted to do was confess what he was feeling.

And hahaha, drunk Pam is always awesome. But how quickly she sobered to Angela going into labor! Oh, so excited for that. (Sidenote: Kinda hilarious for me to picture big, pregnant, disapproving Angela at "The Petting Zoo". Speaking of, OMG, how old was that stripper for him to be injured in 'Nam??? Wow...)

Looking forward to seeing Baby Schrute and, you know, everything else :)

Author's Response: Thank you, thank you- if it wasn\'t for you, this chapter would have never come to fruition. It\'s something I\'ve thought about for awhile, but was a bit hesitant to approach seeing how this entire whole story up has been told from a very one-sided point of view (Pam), but it bothered me that maybe it wasn\'t clear what made Jim fall so hard and so fast, and I felt like I needed to get that out there. So again, thank you.

Oh Lord, the strip club. There are a plethora of sleazy strip clubs in the Chicago area, and the man with eye patch- believe it or not- is a true story! Not that I was there to witness it, but a couple of my friends went to a strip club, just for kicks, and came back with that story. Now, someone had to be stretching the truth just a little bit, because I can\'t even begin to imagine a stripper who served in the Vietnam War. Seriously. But still, it was pretty amusing, and I\'m confident that my friends were scarred for life soon after their little adventure which is why, thankfully, my bachelorette party did not include a strip club. And I am very relieved.

So different how these two fell in love. With Pam, she was looking for someone who actually loved and supported the real Pam since that was something she hadn\'t had in so long, and through Jim\'s small gestures and moments, she was able to realize that she had found just that. With Jim, having never been in love before, this was all a bit new to him, and he realized that he was going out of his way to do these things, these sweeping romantic gestures, something that he had never been inspired to do before, and not because he felt like he was obligated to, being somebody\'s boyfriend, but because he wanted to, and I feel like that\'s how it all started occurring to him- \"Damn, I\'m in love this woman.\" And yes, I would imagine that writing all of those feelings and emotions into one\'s wedding vows would be very difficult, even for a journalism major like himself.

Anyhoo, this reply has gotten way too long so I\'m going to shut up- although I do have to add that a pregnant Angela at The Petting Zoo is pretty frickin\' hilarious. I wish I could flesh that scene out more. Perhaps in a flashback, but I don\'t know. Have a wonderful Valentine\'s Day!

Behind again! Oops. So quickie reviews :)

I really enjoyed this chapter and the way you blended the flashbacks was really well done. Hazy drunk Pam was hilarious, I love that she totally DID get lost when she went in search of the ice, and Jim attempting to wrangle her and the whole situation was great. I could completely picture Dwight's arrival, he first hearing him bellow for Angela before appearing. And there was just something about Dwight completely shutting Kelly out that made me giggle madly.   And lol at Kelly's line, which was probably one of my favorites of your Kelly in this series,
”What?! Oh my God, I fucking hate you guys. Seriously, you’re all a bunch of baby cradling whores.”

 Hee!

Again, the blend of Pam and Jim's brush with possible parenthood and Angela's labor was greatly done. I loved Pam drifting in and out of this in her state and later when they were meeting Angela's baby, how it all came together then. Pam and Jim's conversations about baby names and their subsequent grief over the loss of something they never had were handled really well and with that edge of humor that is always there for them.

And hee, we get Jim with a baby. Always a good thing. And hee at the final scene, "Alright. Climb on top. I'll just lay here and you can do all of the work." Awesome.

Okay, this was just such a fun chapter. Firstly, seeing Pam in the classroom, getting comfy with the students, that was great. I loved the discussion about On the Road and hee, Pam's smile over being deemed "cool" was perfect. And aw, the two of them working at the same school, sharing lunch in the faculty lounge? Omigosh, so cute I may vomit ;)

Secondly, the string of "your face" insults was hilarious.  Which then became the music discussion, one of my favorite wedding parting gifts and really fits this couple, clearly. Jim's inability to qualify exactly what kind of travesty Britney Spears is to the music industry, nay the world, is a familiar discussion(lol). I loved their immovable musical choices, The Cure and Journey, bringing us back to when theyf first began. The Cali trip was an excellent present and there are so many more fun places to drive to in Cali that are way outside the smog and tourism of LA. I kinda hope we will see that trip, but I understand if we don't :)

I love Pam's celebratory dance parties. Jim may protest, but he loves them too.

Finally, ooh, wedding playlist. I would LOVE an upload if you can. And good job with the photoshop. Ooh, "This Modern Love" has been playing on repeat on my itunes recently! Hee. Must check out this whole list.

Looking forward to more!

Author's Response: Haha. Wasn\'t it so much fun watching Pam lead a classroom full of students? I think the idea of being in that positioned frightened her, which is why she has been taking her sweet little time getting her official certification. Perhaps this was the motivation she needed to get the steppin\' on her career. ;)

\"Your face!\" One of my friends and I insult each other with that all the time, when there is just nothing else to say. It has gotten so bad in fact, our other friend pulled us in for an intervention just the other day. \"Ladies. I think it\'s time to stop with the \'Your face\' insults,\" she tells us after I pulled a glorious one. My friend had asked, \"It took you two days to come back with a response?\" and my response was, \"Your face is a response that takes two days.\" Okay, I\'ll admit- my life makes me sad.

Anyway, I\'ve gotten off track from the story! So yes, I thought the \"your face\" was so Jim and Pam; they\'re both such kids at heart. I love when Jim is \"in the zone\" when it\'s time to talk music and feels that it is his duty to educate Pam. Too much fun. I can\'t wait for the Cali trip. It will definitely be written into the story. :)

Jim so loves the dance parties. He tends to bust out the Vanilla Ice moves.

I\'m hoping to have the wedding playlist uploaded by the time the wedding chapter gets here. That way, you will all have little wedding favors to take home with you as well. It will be like you were really there! ;)

Omigosh, these last two chapters have left me with such a huge grin on my face. Dwight in the last chapter, I mean, seriously, what were they thinking having Dwight officiate? They had to know what they were getting into. Or maybe they didn't realize it would be *that* bad. Either way, hilarious fodder and having him sing as everyone practiced coming down the aisle was awesome.

I love how when stressed and/or drunk, Pam totally regresses and Jim becomes like this really strict father figure. When they have kids, I'm imagining him being the tough one. But this chapter was so great with the musical chairs and how it began with Pam needing relief, but it simply became both of them not being able to deal with any of their loved ones. That was just so hilarious. I also appreciated that Pam recognized that the speeches were very obviously a contest as to see who creates the most emotion or makes the moms cry the most. I mean, come'on, that's totally an unspoken truth to all wedding speeches. I really adored the sentiments that both Jim and Pam expressed here and I also loved the honesty and self-awareness Pam interjected into hers. Just another use of how it's the small things and how well they compliment one another that makes the Jim and Pam you've written so believable and so lovable.

Oh side note, I LOVE the bridesmaid dresses. And the shots from the place where they are having it are just gorgeous and will look lovely even if it IS snowing 9 inches out there. Probably lovelier :)

Looking forward to more! (P.S. I friended you over at LJ)

Author's Response: Hey there! Sorry, you will see on my LJ that I\'ve left it to collect dust over the past couple of months and I don\'t log in too often, but once this story reaches an end, perhaps I\'ll find myself craving to blog every so often. But I got your request, we are officially LJ friends. Woo-woo!

Dwight officiating. Oh my. I know Pam and Jim were looking to cut back cocsts on the wedding, but were they that desperate? Yes, I think they didn\'t believe that Dwight would be that difficult to handle, but for some reason Jim finds himself having this weird, sibling rivalry with him and... Well, it\'s just so much fun to write those two, and I couldn\'t resist making Dwight a part of the wedding. Although, he is a challenge to write, I will admit. He\'s just chock-full of information!

Jim is totally a parental figure, but I guess that\'s all second-nature to him now, being a teacher and all. They\'re both kids at heart, but Pam can still be a little naive at times so it\'s good that Jim knows how to be responsible and find a solution when the situation requires a more mature way of thinking. At the same time, Pam has grown so much- as evident in her speech, about how she felt so ignored but it was slightly her fault, growing distant from her parents by not keeping in touch, and not really giving them a chance to understand what it was that she really wanted for herself out of life. Speaking of-

The speeches! I feel like I\'ve written myself into a corner because now it\'s like- well what the crap do they have left to say in their vows? But you\'re right, the effect of the speeches on their family members and friends is so a contest and seeing how naturally competitive Pam is- it was all too fitting to have her craving a need to make Jim\'s mother cry. Haha.

I\'m glad you like the bridesmaid dresses! I think the snow will only add another layer of romance to the whole event, but not without bringing some trouble along the way... And on that note, you\'ll just have to wait and see what I mean. ;)

Thank you again, albie, for such a generous review. You rock.

Okay, I took full advantage of your flu-ridden self, apparently, as I have not read this chapter til now! And hee, now I even have the wedding chapter waiting for me. Excellent for me, though I apologize that I see your edit note there and I would've been happy to beta for you. Next time?

What an excellent present from Pam's parents and the suite of all the girls giggling and playign TP bride was so much fun. The Angela surprise was also so great. I missed her during these last planning stages.

Regarding this chapter, I really loved what Jim did with the house and how he introduced it to Pam.  How he thought about the kitchen and yard and hahaha, Pam and Petfinder. The amount of time I spent on there is...embarrassing. Even after I got my dog :)

Altogether such a lovely pre-wedding chapter and I look forward to their snowbound wedding the next day. Once again, my beta "skills" are always open to you, so don't hesitate to message me here or on LJ or something.

Author's Response: Thank you so much for the offer to beta- you are amazingly helpful and so kind, and I may have to take you up on that sometime. :) My grammatical skills leave a little to be desired- believe me, I know. Ha-ha.

Yay for Angela returning! She has been missed, and she plays an even bigger part in the wedding chapter. That woman loves to be in control. She is head of the party planning committee after all, and what a party she\'ll be planning on Pam\'s wedding day. (This reminds me of Monica on Friends for some reason when Monica tells Chandler, \"Honey, I love you. But if you call our wedding a party one more time, you may not even get invited.\" Ha. Random.)

Pam and Jim are getting a dog, I am not just pulling your chain with all of this dog talk. Yup, there will be few more chapters. ;) Petfinder is kind of amazing. Like you, I spend way too much time on that site, but that\'s how I was introduced to my Jack Russell, Sadie. And oh, how much brighter the lives of my husband and I have been. :D

Thank you for the offer, again. We\'ll probably be speaking soon!

Oh, this chapter was so wonderful and I especially just love how you narrated by this little girl fantasy and how it compared to reality. That worked very well here and it was just such a sweet glimpse of little girl Pam.

The evil snow. Well, you know, the two of them just had to start this way, because otherwise, they'd only be able to keep telling the story of how they met, but now, they can tell the story of how their wedding got snowed in. That's even better.

I enjoyed crazy with power Angela teaming up with pam's mom and Karen and Kelly adding their own charm to these scenes. And Pam's sister! I was wondering what would happen with that and if she'd show up. Can i ask for one scene between them before the story is over? Oh, and can I ask for the story not to be over or for their to be a third part of Pam and Jim Rockin' the Suburbs with their mini schnauzer?

Oh! And I know you stressed over having to do the vows and I'm actually glad that you left them out. We've seen the two fo them share so much, have so many moments that didn't even need words to show off how much they mean to one another, I don't think the vows could even live up to all of that(even though I know you'd write the hell out of them). But I think where you left it was just right.

"A crazy, random happenstance"-- tell me you took this from Dr. Horrible.

Anyway, looking forward to what could come next. Honeymoon? House? Dog? Hee. So many wonderful possibilities.  I hope the flu has finally left the building and that you're on the mend.

Author's Response: First off- crazy, random happenstance completely belongs to Dr.Horrible and I apologize for not giving proper credit in the end notes. I\'m in need of a Dr. Horrible sequel- badly.

Aw, little girl Pam. All this time, she\'s been saying how much she doesn\'t care about a big, flashy ceremony but really, she\'s spent all those years imagining the perfect, fairy-tale wedding. And in the end, the wedding wasn\'t flashy at all, but the fact that she had found someone who was so perfect for her and all of her friends and family were there to witness her marriage- it completed her own version of the perfect fairy tale.

There will be a scene between Pam and her sister in the next chapter- it\'s already fleshed out and everything. After she appeared in this chapter, it bothered me that we\'ve never seen a real conversation between those two, and it pains me that they\'ve been so distant all those years. That will change very soon.

I\'m glad that you didn\'t mind the decision to not show the vows. You are absolutely correct- those two have already said enough about the way they feel and how much they mean to each other- I felt like there really wasn\'t anything else to say that hadn\'t already been shown throughout both of these stories. And I thought the wedding needed to be somewhat of a secret ceremony- they had only invited 25 people, they wanted it to be intimate and just for them. And I\'m sure we all know how it played out anyway. ;)

Hmm... what else could be next? I\'ll throw in a huge hint and tell you that the next chapter will find them at their reception party. After that, oh who knows. But I feel like I do have at least a few more chapters in me. As always, thanks for the lovely review. :D

::waves and bounces in your general direction::

Do you remember me? I remember you! And I've missed you and your music and your Pam and Jim so!

Some time during the latter half of "Come'on, Feel the Illinoise", life took over for me in a none too pleasant way and I had no mind or time to read. When i finally did catch up, I felt weirdly out of the loop and guilty and no idea what else. I didn't start this story because you hadn't updated in a bit and I was sad thinking you'd left during my absence. And then an update the other day left me all excited and nostalgic and I've reread the first two parts of this series and relistened to playlists and loved it all over again.

So now I get to start reviewing your stories again and I'm dorkily excited for that. Firstly, coincidentally, "Blue Skies" has been on repeat for me these last couples of days , so seeing it on your playlist was just fantastic. Secondly, I do like what you're doing here. For every story, I always appreciated how you dealt with the normal ups and downs of life, from work, to friendships, to love, to the views we have of ourselves. These are the questions we all face again and again and I like how you address them. And Pam's in a bad place, work-wise. Even if she found a great new job, that belly shot is gonna kill her during the interview. Who wants to hire someone who will be leaving to have a baby very soon? Will anyone? I guess only chapters will tell.

I also appreciated the talk between Pam and Jim about her anxiety dream, after losing something she felt was so solid, I can see how she feels like something else even more solid could slip away like a dream. I look forward to where this will all go next.

Finally, a big welcome back to you, a lame apology for my abuse of exclamation marks in this review(as well as my dorkiness), and happy bday to the hubby!

Author's Response: ::jumps up and down and squeals and excitement::

::nearly sends laptop crashing to the floor::

Hi, albie! I've missed you! Aw, I am elated and touched to hear that you're still reading along, keeping up with this story. Honestly, this excites me to no end. You have no idea.

I've been sipping the leftover wine from the hubby's birthday, so I apologize for my reply in advance, because I'm not sure much of it will make sense. I hope things have improved for the better on your end, and that your year has gotten off to a marvelous start. It's hard to believe we're already reaching the end of February. These days go by much too fast.

How fantastic are Noah & the Whale? They're a recent discovery of mine, and I can't believe I hadn't heard of them sooner. I'm glad you're enjoying this story despite it's somewhat rocky start. This installment took awhile to reach it's footing, but I feel like it's finally right where I want it to be. I promise it will all get better for Pam. I have several different directions I've thought of taking her, career-wise, I just need to settle on one. I feel like I'm literally inside of her head, dealing with all of these boggling issues myself. It's required quite a bit of research, and I've learned that aspiring illustrators have it unfortunately rough. Poor girl.

The anxiety dream. Oh, how I debated leaving it in there given the slight corniness factor. I've been through a similar situation, losing a job I always figured to be permanent, and I would dwell on the "what ifs", and wonder if everything else in my life could slip away just as easy. Jim's already established that he's in this for the long run. He isn't going anywhere, and even though she's well aware of that fact, Pam really needs to hear it every once in awhile. Especially during such trying times.

Thank you so much for continuing to read, and for such a humbling review. I'm so glad to hear that you're still enjoying this story, as much as I continue to enjoy writing it. Have a wonderful weekend!

Summary: "Like all Mondays, they took separate cars because Pam had her art class across town after work. Wow, I'm really loving this. Pam meeting the kids today really sealed the entire feeling of this story, this genuine warmth that just completely fills your eyes and stomach. I like how you are handling the situation so far and I look forward to what happens next. I'm sure there will be struggles, but it's great to see the connection that is there even without the memories that they'll be able to rely on.

Author's Response: My focus on this chapter was Pam meeting the kids. It is a powerful moment to \"meet\" someone that is a part of you, and I\'m glad that I got that point across. There will be little strugles, but how long can Pam and Jim stay mad at each other? Yeah, not too long! Pam and Jim will always have a connection...at least in all my stories (Karen who? Roy who?).... hehehe! Thanks for reading!

I really enjoyed reading this chapter from Pam's POV, herfirst look at what home and life there was for her before the accident and how difficult it was to not feel like this person that everyone loves. But when she lets her instincts take over instead of overhtinking it, she's more the Pam in the pictures than she even realizes. I'm really enjoying this gradual development and I look forward to more.

Author's Response: Yeah, Pam just lost her memories, but her instincts are intact. I\'ve been reading some articles on amnesia, and memories are kept every where in your brain. So, Pam might not remember some things, but others are right there...she kinda just have to connect the dots. I\'m going to have fun with her trying to piece her puzzle of a life (I hope that makes sense!) I\'m glad you\'re enjoying it. Thanks fore reading.

Fabulously desciptive and depressingly real.Looking forward to more.

Author's Response: Thanks, albie. I'm trying to keep it real - it's a common problem these days.

I was so excited to see a new chapter. And this was another beautiful one. I really like how you show their struggle, how small things are used for celebration. Plus, I completely felt the desolation in this setting, dark, quiet, too empty house, icy rain falling outside. Really well done. And that final scene between Pam and Jim was so true to life and I'm glad that Pam pulled Jim back to her. I can't wait to see what happens in the next chapter. You've done a great job with a difficult subject and have made it so sadly realistic.

Author's Response: Thanks albie, for your comments. I tend to use the weather as a parallel so I'm glad it came off. I hope you think the last chapter works, I've tried something a little different with the weather.

Summary: "If I thought that Pam was interested..."

What would happen if Pam's courage from Beach Games sprouted a little bit earlier? Say... at Phyllis' wedding?

Jim/Pam, circa Season 3.

I don't think I've ever clicked so fast at seeing an update to a story. In other words, I was very glad to see this chapter and I really enjoyed how you played out the conflict here. Even that Jim and pam didn't immediately fall into one another with a kiss, I love that it's not that easy. I'm curious where this will all go and how the truth will come out to Karen. Can't wait for more!
