I thought I was just here to read, but I guess I ended up writing a little. My bad. :)

I'm switching to Yes on beta-reader, because I should have more time now that I've finished my own recent story and I'll probably take a break from writing. I don't know how many requests will come from that, so I reserve the right to change back to No if I get overwhelmed. :) But I am an unrepentant grammar Nazi, and have edited a LOT in the past, so I'm totally up for a little beta.

Aww.  I think Jim would drop anything to cheer Pam up, no matter when she called.  Such a sweetie.  :)

If I could offer a tiny suggestion, the bold type is a little distracting.  I think you could probably do without that additional formatting and you'd be just fine.  However, if you don't want to take the suggestion, that's totally cool.  It might just be my headache that's making it more jarring to me.  :)

First of all, LOL @ your author's note.  Ha!

And second of all: LOVE the story.  I don't care if there are a thousand, million Casino Night stories, I will never get tired of them.  And this one is really well written.  I love that Pam isn't all, "Oh, everything is perfect now, la la la!"  She realizes that this is a huge deal and that everything has to change in order for this to happen, and that that might be terrible and difficult, but it's worth it.

You rarely see Jim and Pam written as a real, raw couple--a couple that has to make it work just like the rest of us.  Of course, unlike the rest of us, Pam has netted one of the most beautiful boys in the world, but still.  :)

I loved the playfulness they revealed even through the difficulties of making up.  I loved that they didn't get it quite right the first time and kept on trying.  Dialogue: excellent.  Make-up sex: fabulous.  This line:

‘I really mean it when I ask you to pass the gravy too.’

Hilarious!  

Just loved the whole dang thing.  The end.

Except, of course, you couldn’t really write a character like this, because the suspension of disbelief required of your readers would be too great.

That is SO true.  I think it only works in a comedy series (or comedy movie), and even then I often have "Oh, come on" moments during Michael's escapades.  But the guy sure is entertaining!
