Someone once said that real art takes courage and honesty, and I can see both here in this chapter from you. I know this is going to sound unbelievable, but I really am at a loss for words here. So, if you don't mind, I'll just go back and re-read this very quietly and let it wash over me. :) 

I don't know where you got "flusterificated," but I'm sure that it's just another sign of your genius. :) Fantastic chapter, m'dear, full of awesomnosity and splendorifituitousness. For realsies.

Oh wow... I could really feel Pam's angst in this chapter. Like she's really hurt and confused and upset. I feel so bad for her, and wish I could do something to help her feel better.

I love sleeves as a metaphor for safety and comfort...and that Pam had to leave her comfort zone to get what she wanted. Very, very nicely done!

Author's Response: Thank you so much! I'm glad that someone mentioned the sleeve metaphor. You interpreted it better than I could in my own head as I was writing it! I don't know if I'm just weird, but sometimes I use metaphors, knowing what they mean in an abstract sense, but I can't explain it out in words. Thanks again!

So I just finished reading the whole story, with every intention of leaving reviews along the way, but was so engrossed that before I knew it I was here at the end! So, forgive me if I just lump everything together into one review right here, okay? 

The first thing I have to say is how much I admire your bravery in letting Pam and Jim sweat a little bit--more than a little bit, actually--before having that "perfect" date. I loved how Jim's plans so quickly fell apart and even how awfully the date ended. It was a bold move, and I applaud you for that.

I also am a sucker for fics that include the camera crew as characters. I wish more people would include them, and you did a great job at giving them a life of their own.

Excellent work with the different characterizations, from Karen to Michael to Dwight. You captured their voices such that they sounded natural and real.

Overall, there are too many good things to say about this fic to cram into one little review! It was just great. :) 

Whoa... how did I miss this story? Okay, so it's not like I didn't know of it's existence, but I'll admit to initially being wary of the Jim/Angela storyline. 

But it's a testament to your skill as a writer that you were able to not only craft such a believable story, but you actually won me over! I'm sitting here thinking "Jim and Angela... yeah...I could see that now." Amazing.

So shame on me for not giving this story a fair shake when you first posted it three chapters ago. Rest assured I'll be here for the rest.  

Nicely done, larry! I've been a big fan of this story from the beginning, and I'm glad to see you've finally come back to wrap things up. :) I've always liked your characterizations of Angela and Jim in this one, as they were believable without becoming "cartoonish" (which is sometimes the tendency to do with Angela).

One thing that left me confused was the very end, though. If Angela was the one who rejected Jim, why was she suddenly in the car with him at the end? Did I miss a paragraph? Not trying to be difficult, but just a little confused. 

Otherwise, great job! 

BAHAHAHAHAA!!! You know what's scary? I have conversations in my head that sound a lot like this when I'm writing. So while others may scoff--and shame on them if they do--this actually  made perfect sense to me. 

I'm not sure what that says about me, personally, but there you go. Fabulous stuff, man... just fabulous.  

"I was the only one who bet on me." Nice.

This is a great variation on the 55 theme, yet it still feels like a full length fic. Very nicely done, sir, although at what point does Jim tell Pam about Karen being run over? :)

Oh. Ouch. Wow. Um... yeah. I'll take "The Sad Reality That This Might Actually Be Closest To The Truth" for 100, Alex...

Is it weird that this made my chest hurt a little bit while I read? 'Cause it did. This little story is practically naked in it's honesty. And for that alone, I salute you.

And still, you left it with a glimmer of hope, so I can forgive the minor panic attack I had around paragraph three. :) Well done!
