While MTT was down for a brief time one night, I wrote a couple 55 word fics in the TWOP thread about Jim and Pam reading fanfic. I will likely continue this as a long running series, referencing my favorite stories and also newer stories as they come about.

Excellent inside jokes! I hope to be a part of one someday. :)

Author's Response: Thanks Mose! Inside jokes are great, as long as the joke isn't on you, eh?

You realize that with every entry, the lines between fantasy and reality just get that much more blurred, right? I mean, I'm having a hard enough time differentiating between Jenna and Pam, between John and Jim as it is! haha.

Good work!

Author's Response:

You mean Jim and Pam aren't real? Next thing you'll tell me Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny aren't real.

Thanks for the comment!

Author's Response:

Now we'll have to explain where we got those pictures of Pam (probably from Roy). Hope we didn't get Jim in trouble.

I love "inside Pam's head" type fics. This one is adorable in it's simplicity. Well done! Now, let's just hope that the show writers are reading this story as well... :)

Awww...if only, right? :) Very nicely done. You've crammed so much emotion and meaning into such a small amount of words. I'm in awe.

Summary: Imagine if Michael Scott was President of the United States. Imagine if Leo McGarry was his Chief of Staff. Imagine if you had to do a trademark Sorkin/Schlamme walking and talking scene with Kelly Kapoor. Well, here it is, a West Wing/Office crossover. This is all Azlin's fault.

Nicely done, Puff! I love the changes you made. Makes the action flow a lot smoother and really tightens the story up a bit. Now, here's hoping that at some point, SOMEONE says the infamous "Yippie Ki-yay..." line. (Crosses fingers and hopes it's Michael and that he screws it up.) :)

Look forward to the next installment!

Author's Response: Thanks so much! :oD

Excellent! The changes you made helped an already strong chapter just that much better! I loved the little moments of JAM awkwardness and humor interspersed with the tension of the moment. I love where this story is headed. Keep it up!

Puff! It's funny: I was just thinking the other day about this story, and wondered what ever happened to it. So, I'm happy to see it back! And I really like the way you ratchet up the tension here as well. I can believe Michael would alternate between bold hero and sniveling victim.

Good job, and here's hoping that more comes soon!

Author's Response: Awww!! thanks so much! I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Hope to see more with this!

I love going into Home Depot and just walking around, wishing I was mechanically inclined enough to actually use the stuff there. :)

Anyway, I really liked this story. I could totally envision the young Dunder-Mifflinites working there. And I know you only wrote this as a one shot, but I'd love to see Michael as a young store assistant manager or something. Maybe getting chastised by store manager Ed Truck for giving bad advice to customers? Or Kelly in the paint department who always tries to sell customers pink paint? Just a thought. haha

Good work!

Author's Response: Oooh!  Stop giving me ideas! It made me laugh right out loud thinking of Kelly trying to sell pink paint to customers.  I could see Angela working returns as well ("No, You've cut this piece of wood, why should I return it?") and Stanley in millwork ("mmmhmm, you put the trim there, mmhmm...").  And Creed. Oh, Creed.  He would make the perfect Claims associate.  The job that no ones knows the purpose of. LOL I figured that Roy was the quintessential lumber associate, doncha think? Thanks so much for the prompt (via the challenge) and thanks for reviewing! :)

Still loving this unique view of things! It's nice to know that we're not the only ones who were frustrated with Jim and Pam during seasons 2 and 3!

(Also, it may be a simple typo, but if Michael put 500 minus 150 equals 350, not 250.)

Keep up the good work! :)

Author's Response: Looks like I'm no better than Michael at math. Thanks for the catch; I'll correct that typo. :D

I love that Sunny is seeing movies with Office stars in them! Such a wonderfully blurred line between fantasy and reality here. :)

Author's Response: Yeah, trying not to make this too meta, but it's fun to play transgressive little games like that.

I think it worked just fine! I've enjoyed this unique approach to telling the Office stories right from the start. And this last chapter was great. I love that Sunny and Creed went on a date to a "burning man"---sort of. Great characterization all around, and a fabulous way to end this.

Good job!

Author's Response: Thanks, Cuz. Part of me wanted to continue Sunny on through Season Four, to get her behind-the-scenes view at Dunder Mifflin, but there are already enough writers doing that that I felt it best to wrap this up, so to speak. And I'd always wanted her to get together with her rock star. So thanks for reading and reviewing!

Heh...you know, when you boil the plot down like this into one or two paragraphs, it DOES sound a little silly. :)

I'm really liking this third party observer look at Dunder-Mifflin! Keep it going, for sure.

Author's Response: Thanks, Cousin! I do have a plan for where I'm going, so I will definitely keep this going. I'm glad you like this.

See, this is what I get for never having watchd The West Wing. :) Aside from my unfamiliarity with some of the characters, I really enjoyed this take on the subject. Michael in the White House... whoo boy... dangerous.

Author's Response: Actually, he's not the President in this one, but he wishes he was. More will be explained in the next chapter. Thanks for the review, Mose!

Author's Response: Now that you've edited it just makes me look silly! I think this is turning into a lose-lose-lose situation... Anyway, the point is, I'm glad you liked it, and I'm grateful you reviewed! ;)

"There was just a moment, a quiet little one between them, when Pam felt like it was just the two of them on Earth and everything else ceased to exist. It was comfortable again, friends back together after so long, just the two of them."

First of all, hooray for Jim getting back to normal and rolling his sleeves back up! I'm no forearm fetishist, but it's good to see some semblance of normalcy, ya know?

Also, I could totally see something like this happening on the show, and I think you handled it wonderfully. A brief moment of angst, but an invitation to her art show--accepted, this time!--made it all okay. Off to read the next chapter!

Author's Response: I can't believe how many of you like the rolled-up sleeves. That's so awesome!

Heh...interesting twist on the "who got the job?" debate. Wouldn't it be hilariously awful if Karen actually did get the job and became Jim's boss? Can you say vindictive?

Again, really fantastic stuff here. I love the continued awkward JAMminess of the story, and Michael's anger over being "betrayed." Nicely done!

Author's Response: Exactly! Karen as Jim's boss would be all kinds of cool awkwardness.

Summary:

A while back, Maybe Once wrote a story called Bad/Fic , in which Dwight's cousin Mose met Lonny (the Seamonster) and ickyness ensued.

Maybe Once didn't realize that the story of Mose and the Seamonster is actually one of epic love. It all starts in Mose's early days on the Schrute Beet Farm...

*silent Ryan talking head after he overheard Angela's "no cookie" conversation with Dwight*

Author's Response:

I think Dwight and Angela would be insulted to hear that this story (which at least Angela would find dreadful and distasteful beyond words) compares in any way to their epic love story!  I wonder how they'd feel to know how creeped out Ryan, Jim, and (originally) Pam are by their Cookie-lovin' ways.  Hmmm...is there a story in there?

Sorry I caused you to have a Ryan moment or 10.  And to have 'your' name throughout this story...I can only imagine the horror!  Please make sure Mrs. Mose knows that I know Cousin Mose the fanfic writer only has an epic love story with Mrs. Mose, not with any really large warehouse workers.  *shudders*

Thanks for reading and reviewing, although not verbally.
