This is a very interesting premise for a story. I'm looking forward to seeing where you take this!
He was well aware of the fact that what he was contemplating (no, planning) could result in the loss of his job; after all, the very definition of a documentary stipulated that the cameramen not alter the natural course of events or become actively involved with the subjects in any way.
Even more than that, though, he understood that to do this would be to tread a dangerous line; it was rather like playing god in some ways.
What if Jim could see what we've seen?
No spoilers, all speculation. A oneshot. Yes, a oneshot. Seriously - it's finished.
Why is it that them just having an honest conversation has become such a monumental event? But it really is. And I like thinking their moment would be private, away from the cameras, even though it'd be really frustrating to the audience!

And yes, while that moment in the British series was absolutely breathtaking, the American writers have put us through so much fresh hell this season that they owe us that moment. I love this. I must say I really enjoy how non sappy you made it, which is usually my issue with pregnancy fics. He had told her in the car, "Third time's the charm, Pam" and her retort was, "Well, three strikes and we're out," which was so unlike her, but he felt the same anxiety. That just made me so sad for them. I'm looking forward to the 2 remaining parts!

Good job! You had an interesting, minimalist style to try to convey a lot. That last conversation did kill me a bit though. The only thing I wasn't sure about is that Michael would call his BFF "an idiot." Michael is better to give Jim pep talks than grief, I think.

Did you know words can kill? Yes, they can! Seriously, that chapter was beyond intense. Man. They can't have a proper fight, and then they have earth-shattering sex and end up thinking the other doesn't want them. Stupid people. Stupid (fictional, I know) people!

That was just so sweet! I like the idea of Jim with all his sisters. My dad has 5 older sisters and I think it definitely makes guys more in tune with how women think and behave. Although my grandmother used to say it was a wonder my dad ever learned to walk. Hee.

He should've been happy that Karen had finally warmed up to his joking ways. He wasn't.I am enjoying this story so far. Yeah, Karen is probably cooler than most of us would be in real life, but I can totally justify it as 1) she's been seeing this coming for a while and the fact that she has the control in deciding when they break up helps her keep it together and 2) she is keeping it together with him but will have her own little meltdown in private later on. So yeah, it works for me. I'm just enjoying Karen as a normal person. Anyway, looking forward to more chapters!

Because I am convinced Gould is really that useless and insensitive. That kind of talk where he focuses on criticizing the friends having them over and all she wants is to discuss what was nice about the evening has got to be the most frustrating thing ever. I also fully agree that Stephen Colbert must play Gould if we ever get to see him. Yeah, Swedge poked me a little about not writing, bless him, and so I hopped back on the fanfic horse.
