After all the debate on this chapter, I think it turned out nicely! Realistic that she wouldn't stay this way. Okay, looking forward to a dramatic ending over the next 3 days! ;)

A few light bits and pieces I'd accumulated (have written enough angst lately, thanks.) Since they were just languishing, I figured I'd resurrect Vignettes and send them out into the world. Each is a stand-alone, NOT a chapter in a work-in-progress, so feel free to jump in and out. (I'm thinking there will be 3-5 pieces, but will have to see how the mood strikes me.)

I loved this little 'slice of life' involving a slice of cake. *insert groan here* So great how Pam took the time to call his mom and make his favorite cake and how he appreciates it and how Pam can just make all his stress disappear. Awesome. But the most original part? Is your prank idea! Convincing Dwight that Michael has been replaced by his evil twin? Sheer brilliance! Let's get on that! After the birthday party, of course...

I love how you've used this line but now in a scenario in which Jim gets to experience the ecstasy and not the agony of the past. I loved this line too "You can resume your regularly scheduled program of manhandling and talking dirty to me then". I love the playful repartee between them. Feels so real and sexy in a fun way! I was halfway through reading the quote at the beginning before I realized it was from that movie! I thought it was something you brilliantly composed for this story! Speculation for S3 and a whole lotta wishful thinking. Pam's trying to be gracious about Jim's relationship with Karen - but she's had enough - and tells (shows) him so.
Let's talk about the fact that unless a girl walks past you in the office it seems you couldn't find a date if you tried. Brilliant and bitter! Just the kind of thing that's probably eating away at her. I tried to resist reading until more was posting because I so hate to be a nag, hugs, but what's gonna happen next? Pretty please??!! ;)

Awww, Paper Jam, there are no words to describe how wonderful this was to come in from the cold for! Like warm tropical breezes caressing my skin. Just delicious. And though they were totally out of their element, they were still completely Jim and Pam the whole time. My only question is where were Jim's parents? Other than that, absolutely perfect! Author's Response: Thank you Par5. I do agree about Jim's parents. I had them written in for a while, but ultimately, decided that they kind of gummed up the works. I probably should have given Pam a line asking why they couldn't make it, then Jim could say they had to work or something. Can you retcon your own fanfic? I guess that's why I usually use a beta!
Are you sure you can't squeeze in another epilogue to the epilogue, Paper Jam? Or perhaps some more detail of the rest of the time they were there? I mean, it was a looonnng time and I sure there were other episodes of coconut oil rubbing and moonlight nude bathing, etc... J/K! Lovely as is. Now enjoy that vacation!
