Set during the events of Season 3 Episode 18, 'Phyllis's Wedding', Jim and Pam's friendship (or is it more?) is hanging by a thread, and her attempt to gain some distance results in an interaction with the Scranton Strangler that sets off a chain reaction of events.

I have had a BILLION ideas for AU Jim & Pam fics ever since I watched my original run through of the office. I finally decided to sit down and start writing as I have enjoyed a TON of fics on this site. I espically love s2 and s3 AU fics that have a unique twist as a way to get the Jam Fam together. I love Disney World and thought that s2 Jim and Pam could use some magic at the most magical place on earth ;)

They’ve just got one scene left for today (so says Michael), and Jim thinks it’s supposed to be a sort of touching moment of humanization for the villain, as he gives his tragic backstory— but this being a Michael Scott film, of course it doesn’t work that well. They've read through it in the (just a working draft for now, people!) script a couple times, and Jim can't help the swoop in his stomach at one particular stage direction:

 In which a scene from Threat Level Midnight is filmed at Dunder Mifflin, and Jim may or may not flub some lines on purpose.

Pam just wants the perfect Christmas. Is that really too much to ask for?

Pam turns 30 determined to make this year better than the chaos of 29, which brought the end of her eight-year marriage to Roy. Married young and believing they were building a shared future, she was blindsided when Roy took a job out of state, ignored her pleas to come home, and revealed he never planned to return. Though heartbroken, Pam realizes she had always felt like something was missing. After meeting Jim at her new job, they begin to grow closer, and Pam starts to realize she’s entering an entirely new chapter of her life. As she rebuilds, Pam discovers that sometimes the ending of one chapter is the beginning of something even better.
