Stories re: Pam thinking about or actually kissing Jim are always instant favorites in my book. And this one is no exception.
LOVED THIS...
...he’ll look at her, and kiss her with his eyes before leaning in and finally meeting her lips. This is the one where she places a hand flat on his chest, just to feel his heartbeat quicken when she bites his lip, just a little. She likes to imagine whispering “I love you” into his mouth so he’ll feel it before he hears it.
Now can it please really happen? Cause that would be fantastic. Excellent job CNR. Thanks!

I like the idea of Pam being comforted (instead of sadened) by Jim kissing Karen, because it's nothing like she imagined it would be for her and Jim.

If I tell you all the favorite lines I had, I fear I might repeat back the entire thing to you. So let's just say I adored this and I'll drift into my own daydreams! Lovely. Just lovely.

Nice! I love that Pam has apparently been reading fanfic (hee!). And it's definitely a when. And I hope the answer is soon.

She likes to imagine whispering “I love you” into his mouth so he’ll feel it before he hears it.
Wow. This was just lovely. Thank you so much for this! Just all of Pam's descriptions of the kinds of kisses she's imagined was just so poignant and sweet...and then knowing she's already had the "perfect" one and it may not have counted but she still remembers it...::sigh:: great.

I love how after he kisses Karen, he automatically looks to Pam and she smiles at him...ha! Almost as if Pam is forcing him to acknowledge the fact that, no matter how hard he tries, Karen can never replace Pam, whether it be kissing or anything else.
Great job with this and very well written.

Wow...that was wonderful. (Fictional) Pam might be the only one who thinks about the next JAM kiss more than Jammers. Great job...I loved it. :)

This is amazing, of course. I think I've told you that enough times by now, and if I haven't, I'll tell you again.
I'm still a huge fan of the angry kiss - it makes me itch to write something like that - something where the words are just so right they're real. Fantastic. <3

Wow -- Pam thinks about kissing Jim almost as much as we do! Love this line about the CN kiss: It doesn’t count because it wasn’t hers to give or his to take. Ouch.
I hope we get to that next/first kiss sometime this season....

I love the last line. I can totally see her pondering all the ways Jim could kiss her...personally, the soulful one gets my vote (is there a character with more soulful eyes than JH?) And, sadly, if they don't kiss soon on the show, I don't know who's going to be more frustrated, Pam or I.

Yes, this is very lovely. What a great idea for a story. Of course Pam imagines what their (real) first kiss will be like. And I love how she's got these different scenarios because that's very true-to-life. And I love how Roy is really the only guy she's ever really kissed except for him. And I just love the little detail of your descriptions.
This had to be my favorite line: "She likes to imagine whispering “I love you” into his mouth so he’ll feel it before he hears it."
Great job. I'm glad you decided to post this.

Wonderful line.

Ack, why are you so good at this?
This was so fantastic, I felt the entire thing--and I usually struggle with really "feeling" stories from Pam's POV. And at the end...I was holding my breath, and smiling a little, and I'm not gonna lie my heart's beating a little faster. It was sweet, and hot, and had this momentum...and was perfectly Pam (and Jim).
And now I feel like running out of my office and finding someone to kiss. Dangerous ;)

You broke my heart and then mended it many, many times in this one!

Oh, Pammy. You're not the oooonly one thinking about those kisses. (And I'm not talking about Jim.)
Great!

Ooooh, this is amazing! First of all, a whole story about kissing- that's my kind of story.
And I loved this- The kiss wasn’t good; it seemed to involve mainly tongue and left her with a detached feeling of oh, that’s what I’ve been waiting for when he finally pulled away.
Because that's so real! I had my first kiss when I was 17, and that's exactly what it was like, and exactly how I felt afterwards.
And the ending of this is SO PERFECT. I love the idea that Pam isn't that upset about seeing Jim and Karen kiss, because she can tell by their kiss that Jim's feelings just aren't in it.

This is just great -- I love hearing the descriptions of each kiss Pam's daydreaming about, and I love the ending. My favorite line: ...it didn't feel like a real kiss; more like an experiment that she wasn't quite ready for, but went ahead with anyway. That's just a perfect description of their first kiss (the one that doesn't count. :)). Lovely job!

I can't even point to my favourite part because this is all so good. What a lovely, lovely story!

you've got the emotions perfectly bottled here. respect.

because it looks (feels) like nothing she’s imagined for herself. Looks like nothing anyone would imagine for themselves.
I find that this resonates with me quite a bit. It's an interesting thought to have when the person that you love is kissing someone else. I really like it.
I like that Pam is just kind of pacing herself. She obviously does believe in second (and third and fourth and fifth) chances, but I just wish that she'd apply more of them to herself.
This was a lovely story, and I really enjoyed it.
Thank you so much.
cheers.

Yay!
I'm SO glad you posted this today. You already know I love this but I wanted to point out some of my favorite parts.
The daydream for that kiss always ends the same, and it frustrates her (leading to the angry kiss, then down the line cutesoulfulcomfortable back to perfection, a vicious circle she’s been traveling for months).
I love that line so much, I have no words.
The last three paragraphs of this have about twelve different emotions and as much as I love the beginning with the different people Pam's kissed, I love the ending the most because it's just so hopeful, and I love the repetition of the line "she believes in second chances."
LOVE. IT.
