Thank you! Well, it's supposed to be hopeful! They're taking a step towards each other! Sort of, anyway. It may take some time, but I'm loving all of this tension building up. I think when JAM finally get together it's going to be worth all of the torture we had to go through.
Per nomadshan's planting the irresistible notion in my head of writing an Out of Control Jim story (along with encouragement from other posters at TWoP - you know who you are).... This is an exploration of what could happen if (when?) Jim and Pam were pushed to the point of losing all control.
Just seeing the words from that scene again make me want to scream at Pam, hug Jim and buy Karen a one way ticket to CT. (Because I like her - I'll spring for the train and won't make her take the bus.) ;)

I love this premise, the idea that they are stuck in there and Pam just...um...totally goes for it and gives in finally and YAY Jim and Pam!!!

I'm sitting on my hands because I really want to see it play out before instead of trying to fix what I don't even know is broken. I loved the ending of this could totally hear his voice. "Live with me."

I hear you sister...the current convoluted angst-fest on the show (and that image of Pam crying) has brought out all my fluffy instincts...kind of like antibodies. Though, I have to say, I feel a return to angsty-form coming on. Will try to resist...at least until you're all better.

Just divine. You've been able to convey this scenario EXACTLY as I imagine it which makes this such a treat to read. The ceremony was lovely - Jim flying her parents to meet them - SWOON - and a bit of steam at the end. An absolutely perfect combo in my opinion. Cannot wait for the epilogue!!!

Post Return. 'Like time machines are real and he just went back a year and things are okay.' Whether you agonize over a story or take 20 minutes to write it I hang on every word. Oh Jim. My favorite part of The Return was how Karen came to her conclusion based on the slightest of contact between Pam and Jim. Which is why I want to reach into my TV and shake Pam silly. How can she not see how he feels about her? Even now. And how the hell can she sit behind him and not want to tackle him on a daily basis. Seriously - the woman's got some amazing willpower.
I've been trying to be patient but they are freaking killing me. KILLING. ME. I have a need to write (or read) some fluffy future (post denial nonsense) fic pronto!

In response to the Evening Coming Challenge. Pam and her scarf. This is the best prompt ever. I love the images you've put in my mind here. My favoritest part....
She trails a hand along his arm, fingers intertwining through the soft yarn. She leans forward as his eyes close. She whispers in his ear.
“I made it.” She feels his next word start from the tips of her fingers.
“Beautiful.”
She can feel the scarf slip from between their fingers as his lips catch hers.
Beautiful indeed.
