Summary: I was reading Cosmo, the one with Rihanna on the cover, and there was this story on the cover about "nice" habits that can cost a girl her life. If you've read it, this story is based off that. If you haven't read it, well then, Pam is home alone, and, well, yeah. I don't want to give anything away. I don't know when it's set, sometime after The Deposition I guess. Just read, you know you want to.

I liked how Pam fought the dude all the way. You have to fight... Nice job.

Summary: This story takes place after Beach Games, so season 3 spoilers. Please disregard events of Season 4 and also imagine that Ryan is still at Scranton and that Kelly has an older brother. I think that covers it – suspend disbelief now! This is my second attempt at fanfic, I'll post my first story later, if I'm brave enough. Feedback would be lovely, good or bad, I'll take it!

--Strider

Author's Response: Hey Strider, chapter 2 is up now and of course he came to her house! Thanks for the review and I hope you enjoy the next instalment.

Summary: This is my first attempt at writing about Jim and Pam. I like elements of the story but overall am not sure how I feel about it. Anyway, I hope you like it and I would really be interested in what you think. Positive comments are great but constructive criticm is also welcome. Thanks!

Oh, kissing in the rain, how perfect is that? Great beginning. Did you realize you switched back and forth from present to past tense?

--Strider

Author's Response: It was intentional as I wanted Pam to flit back and forth between her present reality and those memories that affected her the most to try and inject some tension into the story. Not sure how effective it was but it gave me a chance to think about Jim playing basketball again...need I say more? Thanks for the review. BA

Summary: There were two alternate endings filmed for The Job, and I remember reading GD mentioning what the alternate ending was somewhere. So, this is my take on it. Also, it's sort of a look into what Pam was thinking throughout that day when she didn't think Jim was going to come back.

This was very sweet. I love angst, as long as there's some glimmer of hope at the end. Did you know that you changed tense in the middle of the story?

--Strider

Author's Response:

Thanks for the toughtful review, Strider! You know, I wrote this and posted it quick this morning...that's what I get for not using a beta.  I made some changes, and I think it works better now.  The past tense didn't work as nicely, I don't think.  Hopefully you'll agree.  Thanks for reading and reviewing.  -K

Summary:

I decided I love every time someone writes about Jon, and he's become a real character on this site. So I kept thinking about writing JAM's growing relationship during the seasons through telephone conversations with Jon and Jim, and sometimes even his mom and his sister Lisa. Pam might even call once or twice...who knows. :P It's all dialogue BTW, since it's phone conversations. Interesting way to tell a story.

Wow, that was exquisite... some of the best romantic angst I've read. And, you really pegged why we love Jim so much... any man that can love a woman like that-- you can't help but fall in love with him a little. You wrote him brilliantly, and I love him even more after reading your story. Oh, yeah, and I was really impressed at the way you reversed the dialogue--what a clever idea! You really pulled it off and made it seem very natural. Very, very well done.

--Strider

Author's Response:

Wow.  Thanks so much for your kind words.  I'm thrilled to hear the diaglogue sounded natural.  Even though reversing the dialogue was at the core of my inspiration, it was the biggest impediment as well.  It was a pain, but I like how it turned out.  It's good to know someone else like it, too!  Thanks again, for taking the time to write such a nice review.

I love Jim, too.  But that goes without saying! :-)

This is really lovely. The pacing is so perfect, we get a sense of waiting, waiting, waiting...and we might get a bit impatient, but we know it's right. I also really love the reversal you played--that Pam was the one brave enough to start over, and it took Jim another year to work up the nerve to take that chance. Very very well done.

Well...I'm supposed to be working, but I'm sitting here at my computer crying. I am impressed at how well you understand the tensions within a marriage when something terrible like this happens. Some marriages don't survive it. I know you won't let that happen to Pam and Jim, but you definitely show the tension and pain and isolation that couples go through. Beautifully poignantly written. --Strider
