good for chapter. one thing, i'm surprised you didn't have pam or jim reacting to the hospital setting more, seeing as pam was there for so long post-accident, and jim had a lot of trouble with her while she was in her coma. still a good chapter though; i can't wait to see more of pam remembering. update soon? =)

I'm so glad you are liked the chapter.
I actually had a small scene about Pam and Jim remembering the hospital and going through all the emotions that the setting evoked. But, it was taking away from what I wanted to get out of this chapter. It was becoming a basket case of emotions so I just decided to focus on one thing, rather than overwhelm everyone. Even towards the final editing I wanted to put it back, but I didn't. (Maybe I should have)Thank you so much for reading and reviewing!

jazzfan!! this was great! i'm adding this to my favorites, and will, without a doubt, spend so much time rereading it. this was great. you set up a scene so well -- picturing jim with his hands full of chocolate syrup as his wife holds onto him, tensing up over the speakerphone? and then the fact that he wants to give his son a sibling "right damn now" as he rides the high from getting the job? and pam's so happy and proud of him? oh my god, i loved this story! awesome job.

this story is just great. i was so glad to see an update from you when i got home! i can't wait to see what you have in store for the next chapter.
also, i'm so glad you made them seem realistically poor, and not destitute. and that pam reminds jim that they're friends and spouses. the best part was him giving in and reverting back to his old self to talk about the interview. he was so worried about her being disappointed in him when she got home, and at the end he's able to make her laugh about it. really great chapter.
