Poor Cece! I'm with her on this one. How horrifying! I liked this glimpse into future Jim/Pam and glad that you have them still loving each other. Well done, looking forward to more! Feel free to email me any thoughts on Still Life, I'd be happy to chat about ideas with you! :-) Gotta run, vacation things to do but I loved this a lot. Hope you have more things on the way!

Author's Response: Thank you! :) I always kind of wonder what life would be like for all of them after the documentary aired. I might send you what I have so far on Still Life soon. I'm kind of at a point where I'm going, "Okay, is this a realistic conclusion or a cop-out?" Have fun on vacation!

I don't have time for a super long review, lots of running around left to do. But I just wanted to let you know this is adorable, spot on and I love that Jim is questioning how he proposed to Pam and if she really did think it was perfect. Lovely lovely. Hope you have more stories on the way soon!

Author's Response: Thank you. I am so flattered to be getting a positive review from one of my favorite MTT authors!

Aw! Very cute. If only things went differently during Phyllis' wedding, it wouldn't be one of the episodes I don't watch regularly (I say that all the time). I enjoyed this, and hope you have more things on the way soon!

I enjoyed this a lot! I really have always thought if Jim had found out about the talk Karen and Pam had that he would be angry with Karen. I think it would have really simplified Pam and Jim getting together like you've done here. Hope the epilogue is on the way!

I'm totally with you through the first five sections. I think we differ in the last portion of it. But I do still enjoy that we're hearing this all from Pam's point of view, that she did realize that she had feelings for Jim right from the get go yet tried to hide it. I can also see how this would lead up to the crushing "I'm totally over it" Jim line in The Secret. So, I think you've done well explaining her side of things, and it makes what he says in that episode all the more meaningful. The sixth section threw me off a bit, but I'm still looking forward to your continuation of this.

I have tried to get to read this chapter all morning and am just now alone in my office without my coworker distracting me! After last night's episode, I really needed to read this, and I just read it through twice. It brings me back to the time when the show had substance and meaning and things they did weren't broad and done just for laughs and there weren't huge guest stars. I could go on about what I'm not liking about the show for hours right now so let me get back on track here...

This chapter nails every single point that about Pam that I believe is so true. She was afraid, and started trying to convince herself that she was happy. I love this hindsight, how things are so clear for her now. We know so much about Jim's feelings that it's so nice to read something about Pam and what she was going through in a way that doesn't bring Roy down to just a dolt with no common sense. There are so many passages I would point out that hit me as being the most realistic thing I've read in fanfic history.

We both remained quiet for a long time. I wasn’t sure how to explain the situation better or how to undo it, even though I wanted to put everything back the way it was. And I don’t think Jim could speak without letting out everything he felt. The tension that would build over the next three years was born in that moment.

Again thank you for this spot on characterization. It reminded me of why I fell in love with this show and this couple in the first place. I look forward to reading more of this.

Author's Response: Thanks so much for the review! Glad you're feeling that it's staying close to Pam. I think that she was still pretty young at that point and still wasn't quite sure how to handle everything she was feeling, so I'm glad that's coming through. And yes, my intention was to make Roy sympathetic, cause he wasn't a bad guy, just not the right one. So glad it helped bring you back into the fandom, that's quite flattering. :)

Sorry for the delay in reviewing! Lots to catch up on here. I can hear Pam's voice here loud and clear. I really love first person stories that make me really believe that it's that exact character, and you've done a great job with that. The Toby and Michael conversations are so spot on. Michael is just childish enough to be believed here. I love the last paragraph and the last line. I'm so looking forward to following this story!

Author's Response: So glad Pam is coming through for you!! I work really hard at making her seem as close to Pam as possible. Michael and Toby were fun to right. So glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for the review!!

I love how Pam put Jim at the desk near Dwight even though that wasn't what Michael had intended. And I adore the entire watching the video together, just the way she describes how the butterflies were there since the first day for her, the way it's written is so well put. I see so many stories about Pam not being as into Jim as he is into her, so that you have that part in there on his first day, well, I'm applauding you for keeping it so real and believable. And, aw their first lunch together at separate tables. Your attention to detail is phenomenal. I can't wait to read more of this!

Author's Response: Thanks so much! It was fun to write these little moments of Jim and Pam connecting. Yeah, I wanted to show that while Pam may have been in a relationship, she always cared for Jim, too, even if she didn't notice it. I've always thought Pam was just as into Jim as he was her. Glad it worked for you!!

This was such a great chapter! Totally highlights her struggle in the early days. I really felt for her at the end when Jim left and she was lonely and missing him. But the part I liked best was the way you worked in the penguin, how he still had it until cece played with it in the mud. I know it's not a big thing but it just flows in there perfectly. I'm not sure I'm explaining myself right but it just worked for me. Looking forward to more!

You're going to get tired of me telling you how great I think this is, but I'm loving this story. Your characterization is completely spot on, Dwight is perfectly Dwight and Jim is so definitely season 1-2 Jim. I can definitely see Michael being the one to come up with the documentary idea after seeing it on the internet, very true of Michael. I love how you're showing us how things started, not just between Jim and Pam's love for each other but also the pranking of Dwight and the Jell-o thing because he definitely says He put my things in Jello AGAIN, so very good there. I really am enjoying this, it seems so completely natural and very much a part of the show. Very excited for more of this story! I'm a big fan of finding out all of the little details of how things happened, not just what we saw on the show, but beyond it, and this story is giving so much depth to these two and their relationship.

Not usually big on Karen stories but this hit all the right notes. I really always questioned her for not ending things during the return. I really believe that this is how it all happened, especially given the body language we saw in fun run, Karen definitely was not happy with him. I hope you'll keep on posting stories soon!

Well, I love Cece's recount of the Halpert's bedtime ritual, it's just the sweetest thing! And I'm not sure why, but imagining Jim crying the most when Cece was born made me love him even more lol This is so precious, and you've really got down pat what a four year old sounds like when they talk. This is so adorable I read it twice! My favorite snippet is when Cece says 'Anna is 17, that's old.' How true of a four year old to think that way! Hope there's more on the way soon!

Author's Response: aww Deedldee, thank you! I am so honored you've read this twice. :) I totally love the Jim crying the most thing too. More's coming!

Oh my goodness, this is fantastic, I loved everything about this chapter. Cece is adorable, I'm glad that mom and the new baby are okay, and it's so natural for her to suddenly be nervous about meeting the new baby. I love how Jim and Cece apparently have this ritual where they go to that diner and OMG chicken fingers are chicken's fingers cracked me up! I love how she insisted on the Minnie Mouse balloon, so sure that that's what her new sister wants. Loved this so much I read this chapter twice too! It's unprecedented lol Great work and congrats on your blue ribbon, VERY well deserved!

Author's Response: Deedldee, thank you! I wasn't sure people would catch chicken's finger! So happy it merits a twice-read. thanks for all your support! :)

I loved this! I'm so sad you're done! How much can I bribe you to continue just a bit, maybe Cece and Maddy hanging out together a few years later? Maybe baby number three could be on the way and Cece tells Maddy all about that? Just a thought. I loved this story so so much, you depicted a four year olds inner thoughts so perfectly. I love how she's excited and nervous and then gets bored, and apologizes that she thinks her sister is boring right now. I love the little nick names, and how she calls toe nails fingertails. My favorite part of this chapter was the image of Cece singing to the baby, that she wants her and her sister to be best friends, and tells her all the games they're going to play. And I love the joyful tears from Pam and the image of Jim sitting on the edge of the bed watching over his family, it's about as perfect as anything I've ever read. Thank you so much for brightening my day with this!

I almost can't take how CUTE this is! The end broke my heart a little, poor Cece crying as she stands in her mommy's shoes! The way you've written this like it's from a four year old's point of view is just the sweetest thing ever. Love it! Hope Pam is okay. Can't wait to see what happens next.

Author's Response: Deedldee - always great to see your name in the reviews. I'll try to project some more cute your way in the next couple of days. :)

Oh my God! I've never had a chapter dedicated to me before! I'm honored, thank you so much! I'm so excited that you did the epilogue. It's perfect. Completely realistic and I love it so so much! I definitely can see Cece getting mad and I love how she calls it a bubbly feeling and she needs to get rid of it. I like that Pam was stern with her and understanding at the same time, something I can really see her being. I felt so bad for Cece through this whole thing, and for Pam who most definitely seems like she's on the verge of tears there for a minute. I laughed at the showering part, very well put and it's so cute that Cece thinks her mom's talking about the laundry room. I like that Pam makes plans to have Pam and Cece dates, good compromise while also making her child realize that she can't be throwing sand. And I literally awed out loud at the end. Her apology to Maddy, the pat on the head, holding her hand, I love it! I'm going to be rereading this story for a long long time. Your voice of a four year old is perfect, and that she sounds like a little bit of Jim and a little bit of Pam, it's so impressive. Thanks again for the shout out in your author's note. :-) I hope you're inspired to write more things soon! If I could give you more than a 10 rating, I so would!

So excited that there's a second chapter! Will there be a third? I hope so! I like that in your universe they got back to what they were doing. Beyond the hot stuff (which by the way, you write the hell out of) the pure love that comes across in this chapter is really so beautiful. I'd be happy to read more about this 'nomination' day. :)

Author's Response: Thank you! Yes, there will be one more chapter to wrap this up. I really wanted this story to be sweet and spicy so I'm really thrilled that it came off that way. And in my universe...Jim and Pam always get their happy ending. ;)

Wow-wee wow! That was hot. I love the tone you gave this, slow quiet early morning, how much they love each other. And you totally know that this is more or less what the show was implying with that cold open lol Loved this, and hope you have more things on the way including the next update to your other story!

Author's Response: Thank you so much! That was exactly the tone I was going for. And, yeah...the bed head, the agitated manner, the bellowed "stay in bed"...that was just a fanfic waiting to happen.

Great wrap up on this! I loved this little story. We are so on the same wavelength with their conversations which is so cool, makes me feel like I'm not so far off with my own writings. I love their little quiet morning it seems so them, that the baby is daddy's girl is something I really think sounds so true to these two. This last Michael episode was so sad and I think you really hit it right about Pam being sad, which is why I really believe she left the office that afternoon. I loved this whole story a lot. The part I like best is them reminiscing, it's something I can see happening and I think it's so cool that we both think that Michael was sweet to Pam about her sadness over Jim leaving way back when. I laughed out loud when he said she has a fear of bisquit cans. So funny! Looking forward to reading more of your stories and hope you have an update on the way for your first date fic!!

Author's Response: I just read your story and I agree...we're definitely on the same wavelength! It must have been so hard for them to say goodbye to their friend. I'm really glad that you enjoyed this. And, no worries..."For the Love" will be updated soon. :)

While I'm loving this new and different way for them to get together (I hope that's where this is headed...) and the end where he doesn't want to let her go quite yet, the love and desperation are all golden. I have a small minor issue with Jim being married... and Pam mentioning that he's 'Mister legally married' sort of bothers me a small bit. And oh dear lord she went out with Ryan. Pam's new feisty personality has some mouth on her now lol Nothing too bad that I'm sure a full complete honest chat between the two of them as to exactly what went on over the years can't solve. :) Looking forward to more!
