Married with a 10 year old. Just "discovered" the Office (2011) because Tivo kept insisting I'd enjoy it. And in three weeks, I have managed to watch nearly every episode through season 6.

This was excellent! I cried through every chapter. I love AU and of course, Jim/Pam, but was wary bc the description listed only "angst" meaning they DON'T get together. I took a chance anyway, and wow, I am glad I did.

I'm glad they talked honestly to each other ever since she told him she was moving. And they told each other they loved each other and kissed and (sob) he admitted he was still going to marry Karen.

Although you hint there is more to the Jason story ("Pam thought about telling him everything but") and you never explain it, other than that, I'd say change the status of the story to "complete". I almost didn't read it because who wants to get wrapped up in a story written a few years ago and abandoned? But, as I said, I am a sucker for AU... :)

Thanks so much for writing this. And I loved the touch that Jim had Karen's ring as proof. I wouldn't be surprised if Karen threw it at him.

And though there wasn't much build up in the story itself, I love that Karen saw the "true love" of Jim and Pam and stepped aside for them. And I really liked (spoiler for chapter 4:) that all 3 remained friends after Jim and Pam got together!

This was such a great story. I love dark stories, and I liked that you had something bad happen to Pam after the merger when Jim wasn't emotioally available. I love how Jim totally broke when he found out. I wish they had hugged once or twice, but that is just me projecting my own needs onto them. (How's that for some support group babble!) I loved that Jim offered his house and that she eventually took him up on it.

I think you should change this story status to "Complete" because it really can end there. There is hope that she is getting better and hope they will someday be a couple.
