Jim receives a gift the day after Christmas. And then another one the next day. And again for the 10 days after. Is it a joke, or has his True Love come forward? Very cute. I'm looking forward to the rest!
You've done a really great job with each day (so inventive!), and your characterization is great, but I have to admit that I don't really care for the way Jim is handling his situation with Karen. It makes me as annoyed with him as Karen is. I really hope he sorts things out with her soon.
I love how you wrote Jim's conversation with Mark. I liked how Mark gave him such a hard time, and the dialogue is great. I also really like Jim trying to butter up the delivery woman!

A few light bits and pieces I'd accumulated (have written enough angst lately, thanks.) Since they were just languishing, I figured I'd resurrect Vignettes and send them out into the world. Each is a stand-alone, NOT a chapter in a work-in-progress, so feel free to jump in and out. (I'm thinking there will be 3-5 pieces, but will have to see how the mood strikes me.)

And Pam had somehow managed to bake this elusive gift right into a chocolate cake. This is a great line: fluffy and delicious.
All the parts with Pam lusting over basketball Jim were great, erotic even. And I love that he can get away with teasing her about being the Queen of Denial. I like to think they'll be able to laugh about all the angst someday.

This is really lovely, especially the peacefulness and companionship of number four. Sometimes I wish there was no Jim and Pam, because I think Jim and Karen could be like this, someday. Beautiful work, as always.
Oh, wow. This is wonderful. I want to quote everything back, but I don't think that's allowed. I love how he tries to forget and how he's forcing himself to be someone else and to carry on with his life. And the flow of this is just lovely.

These are all great. I really like how you've found all these little moments that mirror each other.
These were all great (Jim is progressing quite well with the clarinet made me laugh out loud), but five is so powerful. The last line is wonderful.
He’s been baking her a cupcake on her birthday for the past four years.Random, fluffy sort of season three Jim/Pam. So delicious and well written! And I loved this line: because he didn’t want to be anything if they couldn’t be everything.

You've got Karen now but her voice is lower and her hair is darker and she is in no way and every way like Pam: sometimes it just hurts too much.I loved this. I'm not going to quote lines, or I'll be here all day, but you've done such a great job conveying repressed emotions and the tension and the electricity of the situation. It felt hopeless and hopeful at the same time, which is exactly how it feels (for me) to watch them on the show. Well done!

Also, this line cracked me up and put a naughty image in my head: ‘You, me...and Mark,' she added skeptically, referring to a recent suggestion he'd made. I can only assume it was intentional.
