Just like you know will happen, Jim and Pam get together right before a long hiatus. Here is how it all plays out in my happy head. Happy and saucy-- this one starts off all squeaky clean, but quickly earns a "Whorish!" from Angela and a "Niiiiice" from Kevin.
I really like this prologue, the idea of the crew being so captivated.

9 Your note about reviews being as good as seeing the cold open made me laugh, because, yeah, they kind of are. It's a little disturbing how happy they make you!
Onto the story: My favourite part was definitely Kelly's phone call and how she got totally distracted by Britney. I was dying. And Elsewhere! I skipped to it in my iTunes while I was reading. And I love this line: Ugly and just blown to bits, all in front of their co-workers and friends. Ouch. So painful! Looking forward to the rest!
Yay! My stomach literally did happy flip-flops when Pam kissed Jim for the first time. Does that make me a sad person? This was worth the wait and I really enjoyed that it wasn't all rainbows and puppies, because yeah, they have to sort out a few things. Thanks for the happy thoughts!

Ouch, poor Karen! This is going to be really horrible for her, isn't it? As much as I want her out of the way...*cringes* Well done, I was wincing the whole way through. And the image of Jim stumbling out of bed in the morning was very yummy, so thanks for that!

Glad you enjoyed the image of Jim stumbling out of bed; I try to write yummy!Jim whenever I can (and have been known, particularly in my earlier stuff, to wander off on a tangent about his lankiness or his forearms....)

Isn't blushing the worst? And I blush all the way up - from collarbone to neck to face. It's really annoying at times, particularly when you're trying not to show that you're embarrassed (or crushing, as in your case at Starbucks - hee!).

Oh, boy. You absolutely nailed all the characters. It felt like an actual episode, so yay! Um, could you write a chapter for every week of the hiatus? That would be great. And nice use of the Wake-N-Bacon! And Kelly! I loved it. Plus, bonus points for someone finally slapping Jim. This may be an unpopular opinion, but he kind of had it coming.
Fic deleted scenes! That's so awesome. I especially love the Stanley! He holds a very special place in my heart.

Yup, it’s a post-Cocktails fic! With a bit of a twist. Karen does a bad thing, and Jim is about to suffer the consequences…So, I was waiting for this to stop being a WIP, but when I beta'd a chapter, you got me hooked! Damn you! Great Karen POV in this, I loved Karen's burnt hand and Jim's snow globe. Keep the crack coming!

I love how when I read your stuff, I'm not reading about emotions, I'm just reading the actual emotions themselves. Does that make sense? You don't need to use descriptions like joyful or touching, because you paint those feelings so incredibly well with all your other words.
On a personal note, I love the song from Carousel. I haven't seen the show, but a friend of mine used to sing it in her cabaret act, so it has a special place in my heart. Musicals are not un-hip, or I would be out of work! Thanks for all the happy thoughts!

In response to your ANs, the crew would probably be shooting on digital. You don't have to reload all the time and it's much cheaper. It's way more cost/time effective. In case you were wondering, which ;) you probably weren't. I really like the idea that Jim knows how Pam looks when she dances without her knowledge. It explains her surprised/pleased look at Phyllis' Wedding so well. (Huh? How does he know that? He thinks I'm cute? Aw!)

I wasn't sure about the film/video question because I wasn't sure what look the (fictional) director of the mockumentary would be going for. I decided on digital video because a) I have shot on that format myself and know it, b) it is, as you say, more cost effective and the mockumentary crew HAS to be low-budget, and c) it makes the whole DVD thing feasible because handing Jim a cannister of 35 MM film would really slow down the story. :)
