"velvet gravel?" phyllis is a genius. or i guess you're a genius. either way, that's the perfect way to describe that voice. *sigh* this is off to a great start. i love them sneaking out of the office and her being so excited that she runs downstairs to meet him. how sweet :) 

Author's Response: Thanks so much! Yeah, that Phyllis is a genius. It was nice of her to have a wedding so they could have another misunderstanding that led eventually to them going on a date. At least, I think that was her plan!

What about the making out? j/k if i had the opportunity, I would fall asleep in Jim's arms as well :) this chapter is SUPER cute! i love his list of things he loves about her and their debate over what candy to buy.

And if someone loves you even when your hips aren't quite as slim as they used to be? Even better.

i really love this chapter. the capital names for their titles: That Guy, Awesome Girlfriend, Real Jim... great touch. i think you described his turmoil perfectly, and i can see Karen being That Girl that has those expectations :) 

i like the whole fic a lot, but this chapter's great.  

is that last line forshadowing? boy i hope so! i can't wait to see how ridiculous Michael acts when he finds out. i heart this fic. just so you know :)  

This is so sweet and funny. i love "They are loud." i can SO see that happening! also, the matching outfits for the "Professional Kissing Partners" is a wonderfully hilarious addition!

i like that you ended it with her leaving Roy. I sort of knew that's where it'd be going eventually.  I mean, it had to right? because at least now she knows what she can have. i love that this was the inspiration and i love the description of her waking up to the familiar and unwanted. great job :)

i really love this. it's so real feeling. like how she doesn't instantly know what's going on and it comes to her slowly. and she sort of has memories of the family, but not really... it's so interesting. can't wait for the next chapter!
