I don't know how I'm just now seeing this, but this is perfect.  I think Michael actually would be totally capable of this.  Well, maybe, lol.  Either way, I love this.

Author's Response: I don\'t know how I\'m just now responding to the review, but thanks a bunch!

I love this.  I love pairings like this: you don't normally see Pam and Oscar but you really make it work here.  And I could see how Pam could have a complex like that - sexy isn't always easy to pull off, lol.  I really enjoyed this bashert - fresh and fun - good stuff :)

Author's Response: Thanks! I\'m glad you liked it! Sexy, is not easy to pull off. When I try, I end up giggling, which ruins the whole effect.

So I have to confess that I have a soft spot for S3 fic - so much to pull from!  I love this too because I don't think the Diwali near miss has been explored nearly enough!  Can't wait to see how that phone call plays out :)

Author's Response: Thank you so much! :)  I am partial to season 3 fic too because that was the time when things were really not going the way I wanted on the show.  So what better fantasy fulfillment than writing it the way you wish it had played out? :)

I really like this, Corking.  In few words, you manage to perfectly illustrate how Pam was feeling in her relationship with Roy, and her (not quite) relationship with Jim.  The bed is a great metaphor.  I especially love this part:

Her mom warned her that the nights would be hardest. Pam thought they were the easiest. Compared to her long, empty days (which had almost no pleasure, guilty or otherwise), the nights were easy.

Well done!  And sorry to hear that you're going through a tough time - hang in there :)

Author's Response: Thanks so much, kells! I really appreciate your review.\r\n\r\nI debated on that last line, since I didn\'t want to portray Pam as hopelessly depressed without a man in her life, you know? Like, she\'s taking art classes, and learning to be comfortable in her own skin, and that\'s all very positive. But in the end, I decided that positive isn\'t the same thing as easy, so I left the line as it is.\r\n\r\nThanks again!

Oh, and I promise my next review will be more though provoking and intelligent ;)

Author's Response: Nope. Sorry to torture you, kells, but I\'ve got three parts lined up and I think they\'re going to be showing up about one a week. Fwiw, I\'m working on the second and third parts simultaneously. You\'re so sweet. Thanks so much for your review and encouragement.

Oh Colette I just loved this.  A few things:

I love the quiet scene between them in the kitchen...before the, uh, 'frosting', so to speak ;)  The quiet realization that they are really, finally here - just perfect.

Also, the phrase 'I want to feel your skin' is officially the sexiest thing ever said. *sigh*

And the little detail of Jim reaching around to cup her head made my toes curl.

Love your Jim and Pam.  Love your writing. Nice to see you again, my friend.  Thanks for this :)

Author's Response: As I mentioned below to Talkative, that little moment in the kitchen (before things got saucy) was  actually kind of the crux of the story for me, so I'm really pleased you said that. I thought that in an ironic way, having some nights where sex wasn't a part of the 'intimacy' would make being where they are feel all the more 'real' to Pam (if that sentence made any sense, lol.) Of course, making up for it the next morning doesn't hurt either ;-) Thanks so much, kells - always love hearing from you.

First - you really nailed the 'crazy pregnancy dreams - with this fic.  I had the absolute worst dreams when I was pregnant with each of my kids, and I hated that part of it.

Second - I panicked a little when Pam was married to Roy, but then I remembered this was fluffy so I knew you wouldn't disappoint.

And of course, you didn't - I've always loved the way you write Jim and Pam, and this is no different.  Thanks for this - it put a huge smile on my face today :)

So I haven’t really been on here much lately, and last night I came on to post my fic and was up until nearly 2:30 in the morning catching up!   I love this fic.  So much.  I mean, honestly since I first started reading your stories years ago, I always felt that I loved your Jim and Pam.  The way you write them – their banter, their humor, their intimate moments – you are so good at it and it’s just as I imagine they would be.  It’s amazing how you’ve tapped into that and stayed consistently true to your vision of them.  It’s because of this that I always just love your stories. I loved them in the bar – how they flirt and it manages to be funny and sexy all at once.   And?  The leg cramp thing? Perfect – after having three kids let me tell you – you described that feeling so perfectly.  I remember waking up with those damn things and feeling the exact same way each time.   And finally, I love angry Jim, and how protective he is.  Sexy, married, father, Jim is hot, and when he put his hand on her stomach like that…guh.  Just perfection. So anyway, in short: I love your writing, I love this story and please, please write every single day. Lol.  Thank you!! J

Wow.  I love this.  I really wish we would see a tiny glimpse of tension like this between them on the show.  It's so real, and really it's getting through stuff like this - that's what true intimacy is with someone, I think.  Weathering the bad stuff, but knowing that you'll be okay in the end.

Great stuff - but why would I expect any less from you?  Um...also?  I have a life - like, a job and kids and stuff - so all of those things will probably be neglected while I sit here, refreshing, waiting for part III.  No pressure, though ;)

I love this.  You know, I always thought that PW was so sad b/c Jim was like *thisclose* to getting it, and then it broke all of our hearts all over again.  I've read a few AU's of PW, but this by far is the best I've read, and most realistic, and most what I would LOVE to have seen happen.  I always love your take on their relationship, whatever the situation and this one is no different.  So glad to see something new from you :)

Author's Response: I totally agree, kells. That look Pam gives him is just so haunting... it was definitely a missed opportunity, and such a huge one! I love finding scenarios where one conversation would have made all the difference and this one just screams "Go talk to her!" Although, that was the hardest conversation I've ever tried to write for these two. Talk about your stammering uh's and um's. I'm glad you liked it and it seemed realistic. Thank you for the review!

I haven’t reviewed this yet – shame on me I know.   It’s been a long time since I really enjoyed a nice new WIP on this archive, but this one is just delicious.  Anything that revolves around the end of S3 and the summer after it always makes me happy, but more importantly I feel like this story is both very true to them as characters but also to the situation – even though they love one another and know they want to be together there are still things to talk about and get out of the way, and I like how it doesn’t feel forced at all in this story, it’s a very natural progression. And yes, I second someone else’s recommendation to bring your laptop with you on trips ;)   Good stuff, very much looking forward to more.

Author's Response: Thank you so much! I've always been interested in that "first" summer. They were so happy and well-adjusted when they came back in Season 4 and I've always thought that they must of done of a lot talking and healing and growing during that summer to become such a strong couple. Thanks so much for reviewing. It really does mean the world to me.

I loved this Callisto - SO good to see something new from you.  I’ve always loved the time period between Beach Games and The Job – I love glimpses into their heads for that time frame.  I do believe that Pam would have been fine, but at the same time a part of her deep down inside would have been heartbroken for quite some time if he left again. And I will never forget the sinking feeling in my stomach when he walked out of the office with Karen and didn’t look back – that was a very pointed moment in that episode and I’m glad you brought it up here.  I also loved this: Still, she got to say goodbye, although she made sure to say good luck instead.

It’s more than she got last time.
I have always believed that when Jim left the first time he never told her first and never said goodbye, and I can only imagine how she felt when she found out. So thank you for this lovely little piece it was a nice thing to wake up to on a dreary Friday morning.  I may have read it more than a few times ;)

Author's Response: Thanks kells! That passage you point out was probably my favorite part, or at least one of the reasons I wanted to post this. It killed me (still kind of does!) when he walks out without looking back. One can only imagine how sad that must have made Pam, thinking he was probably gone for good this time. Thanks for the review. I'm glad you still like my stuff. :)

I'm a big fan of 'what if' scenarios too, Callisto and I have to tell you that this hit the spot.  Just perfect - the tension in the car, Jim trying to carefully pull it out of her, and this:

It was gentle, but firm. His eyes drifted shut as her lips softened under his, accepting his kiss for a moment before returning it. Her grip on his shirt tightened; his fingers tangled into her hair. Her lips parted and when the tip of her tongue ventured out shyly to touch his he felt a jolt of pure desire deep in his belly. She broke away first, her eyes wide with an expression he couldn’t identify as she released his shirt and sat back. But she didn’t look upset, and she didn’t look sorry. More than anything, she looked like she wanted to kiss him again. He smiled, feeling bold. “Sometimes?” he asked, softly.

That part made my toes curl :)  Good stuff!!
