8 eh well sorry if I'm a huge downer but to me it seems the hype kinda overwhelmed you here. Was sorta expecting something other than, frankly, 10k words of forgettable and overdone fluff capped off by brief censored smut. Also disappointed you chose to not come through with the promised "Jim outs himself on IRC" scene. Oh well..

I'd like to see you continue this as its a direction few people have gone before, although personally I wouldn't go the obvious "massive angst" route.
This is a nice story but sticking with canon is a bit boring, personally I would branch out.
Jim and Pam are good buddies. Jim helps her with her two problems: work and Roy. But what if she didn't have those problems? What would happen if they didn't have Dunder Mifflin in common?
A/U story. Basically, fluff, friendship and...romance? Spoilers for all seasons (sort of).
9 Great story but I think Jim would make a move a little faster... ;) but it wouldn't be much of a story!

I'm actually debating that very issue. Jim would move pretty fast, considering Pam's not engaged or dating or anything like that. But on the other hand, maybe he wouldn't...and you're right, the story would be over pretty quick.

Perhaps being stretched a bit (kinda like a certain 3rd season of a certain show) but good. I'd like to see more background on Marsha particularly her age so we could identify with her more.
Author's Response: Yeah, I think that's what happens when you draw your inspiration from a show that thrives on knocking its viewers over the head with the tension. As for Marsha's background some of that will be revealed in a few chapters, so I hope you'll stick with it until then. Thanks for the review!
Well since you have no problem with negative reviews...
First off I love the premise and loved the first 5ish chapters. Unfortunately this story kind of has two problems with it now, one I think you're kind of in love with the story and extending it more than needed, and two (and this is weird coming from a male) its kind of getting into squirrel style creepiness IMO. But I definitely enjoy reading this story.
I do like negative reviews and it's because they make me think about my story a lot more than praise does.
That being said, this one isn't really that negative, but it's hard for me to respond to because you're right, I'm in love with my own story. And I really love writing these letters. But I did have this all planned from the first couple chapters, and I always knew it would be longer than average. As for the creepiness, I've tried avoiding it, but some of it was inevitable.
You probably didn't want to hear all that, but I really do appreciate that you gave me your honest opinion. Thanks!
Michael decides to take his sales dream team on a little trip and pulls Pam along for the ride. Spoilers through Cocktails.wow, maybe my favorite single chapter of a long fic ever, this went to from being a fun slash story to something way, way more.
10 Simply a classic.
Michael’s leaning forward on his elbows, staring at her across his desk. “That was definitely heroic and, if I may say so, romantical of you. Well done.” While he shoots her what is meant to be a congratulatory grin, Pam stares down at the teal glass shards in her laps, still clutching the ice pack, trying desperately to pretend that the tears have stopped.

Really enjoyed this story until just there, I find that very unrealistic and honestly a bit unfortunate as I thought this story was moving along really interestingly.

Pam and Jim decide to get it out of their system...Literally. This idea just wouldn't get out of head, especially after all the fight fics, I figure there has to be another way to get rid of the sexual tension- why not actual 'casual' sex. Oh and it's going to really backfire. P.S. This is way fluffier than my usual stuff AND almost finished too. So there's that.
Very rarely do I read a fic and am completely jealous of the premise, awesome.

I've got three other stories going but something about the idea of the the two of them being stupid enough to think a one night stand would help them 'move on' just would not let me go. Really like this story, terrific premise, well written.
Just a constructive suggestion though - please chill out on the author's notes and chapter end notes. It really takes away the immersion of a story when the author talks about where it is going prior to the release of chapters. Let us find out on our own, let us enjoy the cliffhanger. An explicit chapter end note (such as the ch 3 one) really takes away my overall enjoyment of a story. Again just my opinion.

Jim is completely emasculated here throughout this story and honestly makes me think you're about 15. Real men don't behave in this way. Sorry if this is harsh but I don't pull punches in reviews.
Author's Response: Well, I guess I appreciate the review, even though it is harsh. The first time I read it, it hurt my feelings, but then I thought about it and I really like that you're not afraid to say what you think. Better to say something when you think there's a problem the let it go.
I know that Jim seems like a major push over, but really there is a point to that. Despite the feelings of many, I'm sure; I need Pam to stay with Roy and having Jim fight that would put a damper on where I want this to go.
Member's Choice - “My father died, so I’ll need a few days.” She explained in an unaffected sounding voice that surprised even herself. The three other parties in the room were stunned into silence. Jim spoke first. “Jesus, Pam…” She stood with her back to him and addressed Michael as if Jim had not made a sound…as if Jim did not exist. It was the only way.
Great story, well written but... the uh logistics of male anatomy simply don't work that way.. lets just say there is zero chance Jim would be able to fall asleep like that. None. Trust me :p

Author's Response: Its definitely not meant to be medically realistic (unless Jim is actually 15 and experimenting w/ viagra).
“Ladies and Gentlemen! Blacks and Whites! Straights and Homosexuals!” Michael makes sure to make eye contact with Stanley and Oscar during his last two exclamations. “It gives me great pleasure to announce that this Friday will be our second annual Dunder Mifflin….Casino Night!”
It’s simply instinctive; at the two words, Jim’s eyes slide automatically toward Pam, only to find hers had done the same, and as a result they’re staring at each other for the briefest of moments.
