Okay, are you sure you're not a physicist?! Everything depends on everything... Newton's Third Law? Einstein? Relativity? I guess it would be nice to reduce their relationship to hard science. Remove the misinterpretations and the result would be Pam + Jim = Happiness. Nice. If only humans operated that way! I like too the connotations of Jim saying "I am Einstein" implying that he's finally gotten smart about his feelings for Pam.

And is it coincidence that both of us have Karen delivering a resignation letter to Michael this week? Great minds and wishful thinking! Thanks, Colette, for making my morning.



Author's Response: Yeah, he finally gets it...and his theory still works, like an inescapable force of nature, but only with two (specific) variables. And she's still his center, all other things are relative to that, and....oh, you get the point! And Newton...one of my favorites concepts, and it seemed to fit. And I think I've now truly covered everything I know re: physics. Time to move on to another subject where I have just enough knowledge to be dangerous. Anyway, glad you liked this (thought of you when I wrote the quasi-science stuff!) And great minds, indeed!

I think you've captured our frustration as an audience when you say the chances of them having another Caino Night parking lot scene seem slim to none. Good for you for making Jim's mom be the catalyst! I like that she can see Pam's sparkle which isn't evident at first. And I really like that Jim doesn't take time to introduce Karen to his mom. Why bother? She'll be gone before the last of the leftovers are eaten from Thanksgiving! Now let's get to that dinner...

I don't think I ever really contemplated how alike Pam and Jim are until starting writing this.  Since Larissa is so close to her son, I don't think it's unbelievable that she's pick up on the similarities in Pam.  It's like placing a pattern over something and seeing that it fits.    Larissa's "dismissal" of Karen was less rude than just wanting to keep her mission simple - Pam was who she wanted to  concentrate on.  (and yeah, she knew Karen wasn't even on the track, much less in the running!) ;-)

I hope the next chapter is easier to get right than a 25 lb roasted turkey!!!

I love Thanksgiving, I love the whole tone of Pam becoming immersed in Jim's family, I love your point about them connecting because they were in a different environment. I haven't seen the deleted scene, but this is oh so scary and irresponsible and this is why there needs to be a test before you can become impregnated! Well, if you're Kelly anyway.
