This is from Karen's point of view - my attempt at getting into her head and fleshing out just what's going on there. (Perhaps I should clarify that this is decidedly not a Crazy!Karen fic.)
And while it's obviously centered on Karen, Jim and Pam are very much in the background.
It'll ultimately be a two-parter, probably no more than that. Seriously. I mean it this time.
One part for each season. Pam's p.o.v. Nothing could be more innocent than a freckle, right?Just like you know will happen, Jim and Pam get together right before a long hiatus. Here is how it all plays out in my happy head. Happy and saucy-- this one starts off all squeaky clean, but quickly earns a "Whorish!" from Angela and a "Niiiiice" from Kevin.
Jim's basketball game with the C.F.O. (not his actual initials) gets interrupted with news from what happened at Poor Richard's; he reacts accordingly.
"It's always been Jim and Pam." What if it always was? What twists and turns do a lifelong friendship take? A story of Jim and Pam and love, in varying incarnations.
It's not that Karen didn't see the signs, she just chose to ignore them...
Vignettes take place either during or close to episodes, including a post-Cocktails vignette.
What Jim will remember about their night at Schrute Farms.
